Oho! We seem to have similar tastes in texture replacement. I too use a couple of the miknmel1 "Improved xxxxx" texture replacers, and am particularly fond of his Improved Bruma, which combines well with the ground textures (snow, rocks, cobblestones) from AmpolX Oblivion Makeover. Whatever happened to that anyway? Wasn't it supposed to be re-posted somewhere?

And I have to jump in and say that seems to be my own taste, as well. Seems to be a picture perfect combination.

It's been a while since I last posted something here. I really hate always only enjoying and adoring the great images posted here while not being able to contribute something myself for you to enjoy in return for a change. But lately I actually got some free time to get creative again, so let's change that. Oh, and please forgive me for these not being actual ingame shots but Blender renders. The difference actually isn't that noticable.

The thing that continually amazes me about Oblivion is how after five years I'm still finding things and going to places I've never been. Before today I was never aware of the "Tears of the Savior" quest because I've never had occasion to venture into the Leyawiin Mage's Guild. It's a relatively straightforward quest, decent amount of traveling, but one whole slice of the game I'd never seen before. Kind of amazing.

I think we're all in the same sinking ship lol

I've been building Dibella's Watch during the last month; the city itself is shaping up at great speed with new elements added each and every day. The exterior is almost done, all the interiors are in place and inhabited by NPC's with suitable AI packages. The island around the City is also being built, but will take a lot of effort still. There are numerous locations to visit there already as well; taverns, villages, castles; a monastery and a manor are in place and also a ruin and a Nord Viking trading post. The terrain and landscape around the City is also shaping up beautifully with lush forests and fertile farmlands mostly. I have an enemy army active on the western parts of the island; so going there poses great danger.

Most stuff has been done using vanilla resources, just to make it blend into the world of Tamriel naturally, but there is also a great amount of modder's resources from various artists used. Release date for Dibella's Watch is yet to be announced. Right now, I'm just enjoying creating it. Now I'm off to create a Redguard Trading Post. Cheers.

Well like it says, it was a glitch. That pic is actually about a year old. If I remember correctly it happened on a particularly buggy game. I came up from a dungeon in the area where that was taken, probably Vilverin, into foggy weather and when it cleared that's how the sky looked lol. Glad you like it anyway, I suppose. :thumbsup:

That's the sky you get if you're underwater. If you do it right, you can angle the fly cam slightly submerged in water for that effect.
