I have been working on a sword that I plan to put into skyrim, I am just wondering how to size it to fit in with skyrim. How do I know how big it has to be? Does it automatically scale once in game?

Import the model of an existing weapon, preferably one comperable to the size you wish, then simply scale your weapon to the appropriate size and placement.
