In your opinion guys, what would be an good way to travel around wasteland quick?

One of the motorbikes left at Goodsprings. Modify the engine. Check out the tyres (Rememberng that the difference between a tyre and 365 used condems is one's a goodyear, the other's a flippin' good year).
Fuel it with the copious amounts of booze that seems readily available. Get meself a crash helmet and zoom off into the desert,.. only to end up stuck down an ants nest after I remembered I've not got a motorcycle licence....

It all boils down to one thing in a post-apocalyptic environment...fuel or lack there of.

The use of solar energy would have been so benefical right now for them :P

Fast Travel, why? Point to location, Click, click yes, there. :celebration:

When using hardcoe mode, fast travel becomes less used, so as to save on H2O and the others.

I seen a mod where the guy/girl made on of the golf buggies drivable and the game ran rather smooth, s/he wasn't falling down the potholes or shaken side to side but beside minor physics everything was fine, I'll try find the video.

Found it, turns out it was a Fallout3 mod, but could easily be applied to Vegas since the code is almost the exact same. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7nxZUeAe0w

IIRC the cart goes at a slow and stable pace, but to go at cargo truck speeds, the game wouldnt handle it.

(Funnily enough, I knew SOMEONE would reference that video

How about vehicles like in 'The book of Eli' ? Not fast and rare to find fuel and expensive?

The game would be able to handle a faster car, but seeing the state of the roads/terrain its better to go slow like the cart. Even that cart though is faster than walking which is a start I'd say. Implement, Improve, Profit!

I've made reference a few times to this video when someone discusses vehicles, glad I didn't disappoint :D

The Fallout franchise plays in an alternate universe, where technology went in a different direction somewhere around the 50s. Instead of iPods we have nuclear powered pencil sharpeners.

Some universes get all the fun stuff...
