PA Mods and Paint Jobs

Post » Tue Dec 08, 2015 2:43 am

I thought the custom paint jobs on the power armor were a nice touch. Hope they add more in DLCs and expansions. Hopefully they'll release Hubris Comics theme paints like a Grognak, Silver Shroud, Madame of Mystery ect.

Any other ideas for Power Armor mods?

I currently love how power armor customization and repair is in this game. It makes Power armor seem precious and unique.

Animated paint jobs. Think of something that is constantly changing patterns.

AI mod - Something that adds a commentary on whats going on. Think of the medic armor in fallout 3. (Personally I used that, + modded in liberty prime voice overs about killing commies during combat)

Zombie mode mod - Exit your power armor and use it as a companion. Or order it to go back to a settlement for repairs.

I was a little disappointed that stuff like the tesla mod doesn't actually show up in any way on your armor, not even a little sparking effect/visual cue to tell you it's tesla armor.

The only way you notice is when enemies near you get electrocuted, I was expecting something more along the lines of FO3 tesla armor to appear.

Only disappointing coloursheme is the military one, would have preferred a shade of green more akin to a Sherman tank, maybe even slap the tanks iconic white star on the PA torso.

Little known fact, but the Olive Drab on the Shermans during WWII was actually not green.
It was more of an almost black brownish-green colour.
So dark, in fact, that most black and white pictures of shermans with Olive Drab and Black camouflage show up as pretty much the same colour.

But yeah, I downloaded a mod for the military paint as fast as I could.

Yeah some paint mods added to the Atom Cats store would be cool. I already mentioned a Hubris Comics line. Nuka Cola, Corvega, Pre-War US Army/Air Force/Navy (with naval and underwater mods), Boston PD, General Atomics for a shiny coat of that Mr. Handy steel, Poseidon Energy, are some ideas off top.
