Unfortunately, it didn't work as well as I expected. In fact, it didn't work at all. Well, it worked a bit, maybe, since the mods that don't replace any original data work without problems. The replacers, on the other hand, don't replace a thing, and all I see is the original stuff.
I tried to:
- Set TryArchiveFirst to 1 in the morrowind.ini
- Rename Morrowind.bsa to something.bsa and add it to the [Archives] section of the morrowind.ini, in various positions
- Create a dummy Morrowind.bsa with some random original stuff in every folder
- Unpack the original Morrowind.bsa, repack it, repack it together with the Tribunal.bsa and Bloodmoon.bsa data (adjusting the file data)
Nevertheless, nothing changed: the original icons, meshes and textures took always precedence. In despair, I even tried to rename the replacer.bsa to Morrowind.bsa and the Morrowind.bsa to replacer.bsa, but even so nothing changed! xD
Then, I noticed that if I extract the contents of Morrowind/Tribunal/Bloodmoon.bsa into Data Files, the replacers do their jobs, respecting their order. Ok, now my "project" works fine, but the fact that I need to fill the Data Files folder with the original stuff defeat my original purpose.
This behavior seems strange to me. Any ideas?
