Mods cause game to crash?

Why is it that whenever I enable any mod the game crashes upon startup? the mod i severely want is the auto aim fix but alas as soon as I check its box the game will no longer start up. Any ideas?

Try opening the plugin in FNVEdit and note the contents of the messages tab in the right panel. Does it load all the way or warn about a missing master? Is the mod an .ESM? If it is, use NVMM or WryeFlash to make sure it's loading after FalloutNV.ESM.

Thank you so much! I tried the FNVEdit and it was throwing an error. I got it sorted out now though, i just removed the offending mod and got a different version of it and it works. Thanks again!

It wasnt by any chance version 1 of my mod, buildablebotsNV was it?

My bad if it was, my steam order came with a DLC pack that just so happened to be an ESM, and tries to master itself to any esp you make whenever you open the GECK. I suspect this has happened for many other people who have made a quick .esp whilst having free DLC in their data folder. CaravanPack.Esm can roast in hell.

Nope, this was some auto-aim1.1.esp i just got one from a different author entirely. Works a treat :D
