My mods crashing everyone else but me?!

Post » Tue Aug 24, 2010 8:10 pm

Ive just starting on a big project but sent a bit of what i done to a tester but it crashes him , then i tried another person and it crashes them and another. But ive been doing gun mods for people and sending them to people and they work fine!

The new project involves making new interiors and that's what i sent to the other people that crashes them , a new room. What are the common causes for it to only work on DEV's files.

Your mod may be dependant on a master file that they don't have. Highlight it in FOMM and see what masters it uses.

It's a good possibility that it's this....did you pre-order and get the classic pack add-on?

Did you change the date modified on the ClassicPack.esm so it post dates NV.esm for load ordering process?

Yes this could very well be your issue, it was mine for my GoodSpring Hole mod. I used http://download.cnet.com/FileDate-Changer/3000-2248_4-10549569.html
it was extremely easy to use and did the job. You can change either the NV.esm or the ClassicPack.esm just make sure that NV is pre dated to the ClassicPack.

I hope this helps  good luck

Would i need to restart the mod aswell due to the change? or just open it in geck and save it again?

If I recall correctly you can just open it in geck and save it again.
