Mods for All DLC + Game minus Zeta

Most of the time I work on my own mod ideas . But I am more than willing to test some of the enormous mods the community has.

I just bought Broken Steel & Point Lookout and Anchorage & The Pitt. Two of which I already owned but needed the DLC it was paired with .

Anyway so I am happy I have all those on CD including Fallout 3. I am going to install all of them ontop Fallout 3 now.

I have not played through more than 25% of broken steel before now with the one i bought on GFWL. I kinda cheated through teh Pitt. But I have never played Anchorage or Point Lookout. All of this together seems like a good amount of playtime to enjoy further.

I have beaten Fallout 3 and obviously got the past the beginning stuff of Broken Steel. But what mods should I consider for a completely new play through?

In the past I thought FOOK was nice because combat seemed more intense and so much more interesting loot. MMM is always good too. I also liked the Enhanced Weather mods. Now that you have an idea of my actual gaming experience, I would like some suggestions. I don't care much for the advlt content mods though, I am 19 years old but don't believe sixual stuff is worth the fuss.


Edit: Weather mods are taking care of now. Went with Fellout and Enhanced Weather.

You're going to get a lot of differing opinions, and I want to voice mine...

Here are a few mods from my load list that I highly recommend:
Darnified UI (Darn isn't the best at what he does, he is the only one that does what he does...)
Existance2.0 (Adds a pretty well done quest line, and a new radio station to the Pip Boy that plays some very well done ambient ("horror") music)
Weapon Mod Kits (Allows you to add extended clips, scopes, silencers, and laser sights to the various weapons in the game. Support for all the DLC, and FOOK2 OR FWE, but not both at the moment)

If you are a role player, you might like GiftsForKids, too. Allows you to give the kids in the game toys and stuff. No point, just the role play aspect...

And two of my own mods:
GunnySack (a portable container that is not a cheat)
MaintenanceShed (a small player house that is made by a role player, for role playing)

And last but not least, MMM. 'nuff said.

I am getting the major mods installed first. Here is my current load order before I get MMM next.
Ok for now this is final loader order, how is it?

Edit: Even FOMM's recommendation didn't work :(

Edit Again: OK it seems the FOIP FWE with WMK if unchecked removes the crash from the startmenu. i will be back if anymore crashes occur.

Edit Again Again: Ok i just crashed twice during escaping the vault. :( both times were when i was firing my pistol

Kai had another one posted a while ago that I think was a bit different, not FWE-specific. He used to have it in his signature. I don't know where it is now.

Although, I load weather mod esps before the other overhauls. Nothing goes after MMM apart from the odd override esp and bashed patch.
But, if you're not sure it's probably better to follow someone else's suggestion, such as that one in the FWE thread.

Ok I think i have the load order right now. But what is a master patch? I have 1.7 fallout ... i don't wanna do 1.5 trickery. or am i seriously confused?

The guide from Max is sort of too much to follow .. After searching google the stuff about Master Patch seems dated.

Do i really really need a master patch ?

You need a merged patch. It's for merging content and lists across multiple mods, it's really a necessity.
http://sites.google.com/site/fo3wanderersedition/faq explains how to create one (#9).

There are also instructions in there on how to MasterUpdate your loadorder, which is very helpful to prevent crashes. All this stuff is still current, even with patch 1.7
