Mods for homosixuals?

Well, I wound up uninstalling my game. I will reinstall it once Agony and the Rapture is finished. I uninstalled it because I wound up with errors (not related to Marc) that broke my game and my save, so I am gonna have to start from scratch anyway. Playing with the new and improved Agony and the Rapture will be a good reason to do so. :)

Progress (or lack thereof :embarrass: ) report:

- I'm 99% certain I've solved the game time going backwards issue. Unfortunately the only way to do it while in menus would be to check and set GameHour, DaysPassed, Day, Month and possibly even Year manually, which would be a huge (error- and conflict-prone) PITA, so the dialogue has a goodbye when game time is set forward to take you out of menus. That way I only have to set GameHour (twice - that's the trick to it apparently) and the game will do the rest automatically. Also discovered an interesting thing: if game time is set backwards, the player's magicka gets drained (GCD issue I assume).

- I've started doing a play-through test but I don't like the way the quest dialogue has come out, so I'm going to redo it yet again with a different method. In the interest of keeping the quest moving, it won't be quite so random while on the quest (but once you finish you'll get the random stuff then). I'll include some non-journal-updating forcegreetings because they're obviously intended to happen at certain quest stages, but I'll be tracking the whole thing through a variable so there'll only be so many before the journal-updating one. And when it's ready for the journal-update greeting, the script will wait until all the dialogue conditions are met before doing the forcegreeting. The time between forcegreetings will still vary (there's still some randomness there), but the greeting you get usually won't. That's the plan atm, anyway...

On AlienSlof's matter: She made fine things, quality models and textures. But.... they are in general kinda... kinky? I'm sorry, I'm not native english speaker :)


Yeah, they might not be for everyone. Romance/intimacy is possible in a video game without needing to resort to outright sixualised content.

This may not be the best time to mention it, but I think I've got a way to make LAL work for any combination of genders, all in one esp, while still using Mr Cellophane's exes to do most of the mesh setup. Only thing I can't do anything about is the animations (some are OK, some aren't). Any interest (that doesn't involve complaining about "outright sixualised content" :rolleyes: )?

PS @Keltic Viking: Argonians are egg-laying reptiles that can change six by licking tree-sap. Somehow I don't think six means the same thing to them as it does to other races ;)

Yes, that is an interesting story there. When I read about it, I was surprised. It seemed to me that other than making light hearted fun of homosixuality a little (I am thinking about Crassius Curio here) Bethesda tried to keep any hint of it out of TES lore. I was sort of glad to see otherwise.

Finally finished playing through the quest - and I think it's still way too slow in places. Actually I've come to the conclusion that Marc's quest should move relatively *fast* (at least compared with a companion like Constance) - partly for practical reasons (e.g. if Marc's not talking to you, you can't repair his gear or give him potions etc, and you can't tell him to stop following either) - but also for roleplaying reasons. And he does have plenty of dialogue for when the quest is completed too. So I'm going to see what I can do about that now.

PS For those who don't like AlienSlof's clothes - Hilgya the Seamstress has some very nice stuff in a completely different style. In my last game, Marc was wearing Slof's gear and Sadikh (my character) mostly wore Plangkye's. ;)

I have a feeling I may be destroyed for asking/saying this, but I'd really love a crossdressing mod. (If it's possible with the models and what not)

What I had in my head when I wrote that was a lot of the user made content (the Clothiers of Vvardenfell stuff especialy) but I know making that wearable by males is next to impossible, so...

I think the A&R revision is ready for testing now. It hasn't yet received the attentions of NovemberRain, so the hints journal requires use of the console and the entries for that are not in character at all (they'll just tell you the conditions required for the next journal). But I'd like to check it out first in case it needs major changes somewhere that would affect the journal/dialogue.

So, please help me test this out! Lots of feedback is good ;) . Questions, suggestions, comments are all fine. Nitpicks are fine. Let me know what needs changing, what needs tweaking, etc.

If you're already using the original in your game, you'll need to clean it out completely and restart the quest to use the update (sorry!). To do that:
- De-activate the A&R esp
- Load the game, click through the errors, and resave as a new file
- Load the new save in EE and delete the "NPC_" record for "efb_bf_marc antony" and any other NPCs starting with "efb_bf_" that are in the save.
- If you've finished the quest, you may also need to delete a creature (ID also starts with efb_bf_)
- Save your changes, activate the new esp and load the modified save
- Go to Ebonheart and pick up Marc again (you don't need to talk to the chargen captain, though you can if you want to)

To use the hints journal if you get stuck:
- Open the console and type "GetJournalIndex efb_bf_marc1" and hit enter
- Now do "Journal efb_bf_hints [index]", replacing "[index]" with the value returned by the GetJournalIndex
... This will give you the same information you'll find in the included text file "A&R_quest_states.txt", if you prefer to look it up outside the game.

PS Sorry if I'm sounding totally vague atm, it's nearly 3am here and I really need some sleep...

I will test this out for you, gladly! It will take me a couple days to get Morrowind reinstalled though as we are doing some remodeling. Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but the forums were down for days. Thanks for the hard work, Melian!

Edit: This is off topic, but does anyone know how to disable the floating search doohickey? I don't want to lose the ability to search, but that is kind of annoying. lol

Something I forgot to mention... I've got the thugsscript set up so the player will take a bit of damage for that scripted sequence. A warrior type should have no trouble with this but it was uncomfortably close for my healer mage with GCD active, so let me know if you think that's too risky - I can always change it.

Good luck with finding a new monitor.

I still use the old CRT type (tube monitors, I guess you might call 'em) and I have occasionally found emergency replacements for a very good prices at thrift stores and such. I have to use the adapter that comes with most modern video cards, of course, but its no big deal. I prefer CRTs anyway. Plus when I finally make the switch to LCD or Plasma, most of my wonderful wallpapers that I have collected over the years will become utterly obsolete.

Also, I think the dialogue choices "Peek on Marc while he is washing himself." and "Accidentally walk in on Marc while he is in a state of undress." might be the wrong way round (wrong time of day) since the washing one only appears in the morning, but there's a response "Feels good washing away all the sweat of a day's work looking after you. Care to join me?", which sounds more appropriate for evening. That's the only obviously time-specific thing in either choice though. Opinions?

PS For those interested in cross-dressing: which clothes did you want? Because if it's something that covers a lot (gowns etc) it should be possible (e.g. by re-mapping another mesh to take that texture, or even just use a shrinkwrap modifier and a bit of editing on the original mesh). Knickers are another matter though.

Just in case anyone was wondering, I beta tested the updated Agony and Rapture few months ago and it was absolutely great. :) I LOVED being able to get everything from the mod while actually playing the mod and not having to console the journal entries in myself or having to open up the construction set to read the material. Melian did an AMAZING job.

Melian, how feasible (and do not worry, I am not asking you to do this, just curious here) would it be for this mod to be "ported" over to Oblivion? I imagine a lot of coding would have to be redone, eh? I am sure just most of the writing could be copied and pasted into a totally new mod, and of course, where Marc Antony is stationed would have to change a little, and the reasons for his being assigned to the PC etc. Maybe his role could be changed to that of a Knight Brother of the Blades or something, assigned by Jauffre to look out for him.

Again, I am just asking here, as we have been totally unable to get a hold of the original author of this mod and while dusting off the cobwebs is one thing, I suppose taking his work and putting it into a completely new mod entirely for a different game would be something else completely. Just curious if such a thing is even possible in any way, shape or form.

Thanks again for your fantastic work on the original Mod, you did some GREAT things. You made that mod VERY awesome and finally, very satisfying.
