Mods for homosixuals?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 10:28 am

*raises his hand*

Sound like fun. :P It'll give me something to do other than bash CR2 over the head for not working. ^^" I'd like to give that a try if no one else will.

Just so you know, the romance for her is still very much in the development stage. There is, however, a male NPC that you're free to romance using the Romance mod if you're so inclined. He shouldn't have any scripting that would prevent that mod from working properly. Jasmine, however, might break it due to how the mod handles variables and scripts. I've never tried it, so I can't say for sure if it would work or not.

@jac-I thought I read that in Cello's readme. I'll mess around with it when I'm bored just to see what I can do. Sure I can't do anything you couldn't, but its worth a shot. :) Thanks for the permissions.

I can only go by what Axel said to somebody else when they brought up the subject. If you want to know the exact details, you'll need to contact him. I know a little about animating from working with him, but I'm far from being an expert, I've never even opened up an animation program. :P

Edit: ? I thought Julan was Kateri's mod?

It is.

And Princess Stomper and Kateri's Dance of the Three-Legged Guard, althought it's still in beta and they're working on some details. There are a few bugts in it, but most can be worked around (just save often, in separate save files). Like most companion mods, it's mostly just gender-neutral, not specifically queer, but hey. Arnand is just so cute and fun.

For the male NPC, I'll try using the Romance mod with him later and see if it works (normally and with the bi patch). As for Jasmine, if you don't mind me making a bi or les patch for her I think I would be willing to keep up with your progress and patches for the original version. I don't know why, but I just have not found a male companion for my Destiny.

Well I'm ahead of you a tad in that one at least. xD I have blender on my computer and attempted to learn how to animate. I didn't actually get past the "Learn the GUI and camera controls!" part though. ^^'
It is.

Ah. Okay. I guess Fashayshay (sp? Sorry ^^') got the name wrong then? ^^'

It should work. Besides, he's a handsome devil, he needs somebody to love him. :hehe: I am including an option to start a romance between him and another NPC, but that will depend on the player to initate it, so it can be ignored.

Mr. Cellophane used 3DMax to make his animations and his template animation files are 3DMax files. I don't know if Blender can handle MW animations, though, or if it can, if it'll handle the ones L&L uses.

As much as I like Kat's work, I'm not going to take credit for it. B)

About the LAL stuff... Blender can't import max files, but it can import nifs with animation, and export kfs (animation files) that work in MW. I can't help with actual animation (just started learning myself) but I can tell you some more about how to export stuff for MW, if someone else wants to make animations.

You know how to contact me, Melian, should you decide to work on new LAL animations. :hubbahubba:

I don't know if it's been mentioned already, sorry if it was, but I believe you might be interested in http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=879035&hl=. Well, there you go if you missed it, that is.

I haven't seen any mods which were [censored] (yeah yeah... censor...) and I've looked through really bunch of mod lists. But then again, I was never looking for [censored] mods anyway.

edit: And dammit this senseless censoring is annoying...

For the record, I really wanted to make Julan bisixual, but he wouldn't cooperate with me. :( Damn conservative closeted Ashlanders! However, if I ever get him to change his mind, I'll be the one to write it, so no patch permissions, sorry.

Arnie from TLG definitely goes both ways, though, and although the dialogue is gender-neutral as opposed to gender-specific responses, I actually think he works as well, if not better, as a same-six romance than the reverse, it's not just female-aimed dialogue with the pronouns evaded. :)

But it would be like the best thing if you did make a queer-supportive version :). It's one of the best mods I've ever played ( and still playing ) for both MW and OB.

Heck I sometimes get so jealous when he talks about Shani ! :flamethrower:

;) Most of my female characters prefer other females. There is also a Bi-sixual patch for the mod "Romance-English version". I've always thought it would be interesting to try and make L&L accept same-six partners though. I don't imagine it would be /too/ tough as long as the gender-filter is written in the scripts and not in the external programs.

There are two NPCs that are used as the "models" for the animations. All you really need to do is check or uncheck the female tab to change them. I suggest just trying that and see how the animations look.

I don't really have anything useful to contribute here that hasn't already been said, but I must say that I was quite happy to have stumbled upon this thread.
It's encouraging to see creativity and tolerance going hand in hand, so to speak :)

It's been tried, Fligg, with less than ideal results. Both NPCs are hardcoded as being either male or female in the meshes they used. I was working on a same six version but gave up due to that. Everything I tried caused the partner to show up but not the player.

i'm surprised there hasn't been more mods of this nature, given the success of the Bravo channel of late.

Well there really are just a few :/ and most of them are just companions with no gender-specific dialogues, so it goes for both females and males. That's no what I'm looking for, it's nic those mods are out here, but they won't feel right, they won't create the atmosphere.
Agony and Rupture, which is the only mod I know that I'd consider fully q-developed is really great, I played alot with it today and yesterday, but I don't know... the way the companionship develops it's a bit unnatural and fast for me... and I really don't like the game telling me what I just did... how I responded etc etc.

Well it would be really saddening if it wasn't so in this day and age, though even today you will stumble upon cavemans... Especially here where I live, I was just lucky to have normal parents who taught me tolerance. I can't wait for the entire population to become normal, though I might not live to see that day.

slof goth shops
Yeah I believe that has some... interesting clothes for male characters too. :P
Though it seems that all you can have at the moment is just clothes, but better something than nothing I guess.

Well it's absolutelly normal in my country to hate homosixuals, it's like... going to supermarket.

Anyways. Slof has her... very....uhm, specific taste. I don't see it as being q-orientated. And... I don't simply share her taste for clothing and stuff. But I visited her web many times and was amazed by her work, I must say that.

My mod, NPC Commands, is gender neutral. You may use the commands on any NPC as long as they like you enough. Follow the link in my signature for more information.

One thing I remembered, you will have to substitute your own sound file.

Quick question -- about the companion mods, are there any that include Dunmer guys? I looked around at some mods the other day, got a wolf to try and I'm this close to getting a pack rat or Lulu, but it looked like there wasn't much option for the race of the companion. Everyone was pretty much human, at least what I saw.

It looked like there was something that allows for custom companions, but it seems too advanced for me right now.

Well, there's Julan by Kateri of course and http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=849852&hl=kimu by fashayshay. I don't know if he's still working on it, but from what I remember, he hadn't introduced a detailed backstory, so that could be something to build off of. I don't know how he would feel about it being aimed at a same six relationship and don't wish to speak for him. :)

I have another tip. I use the meshes out of Mr. Cellophane's mod so that male characters, both PC and NPC, can sprout a "thingy". Using those resources I created a mod that lets me buy a condem. When I wear it, it asks for race. So my "greaves" can be for any race that I want. Very useful when giving the "greaves" to a companion of another race. According to Mr. Cellophane's read me, I am not allowed to distribute this mod.

I am not sure how freely I can comment here. That is why my post is a bit obtuse.

i totally forgot about kimu actually. with school starting and all. hm. i could probably make him and then let someone else add all that romance stuff to him. there is no way that i would be able to do it. lol.
