Mods for snow textures on rocks?

Post » Fri Dec 05, 2014 8:14 pm

I'm using plenty of texture packs for nearly everything but apparently none of them touches on the snow textures for rocks. I got my mountain texture from Vivid Landscapes which look wonderful but seems like it only affects part of the snow mountains. So what I get is a mixture of ugly vanilla textures for small hills and rocks while a few mountains get the HD snow texture treatment, the latter of which can be mostly found only in mountains higher up.

I don't get it, how does everyone else solve this texture problem? I've seen plenty of people's screenshots and all their snow textures on rocks and mountains look perfectly fine. So what are the texture mods out there that touches on snow rocks? I can't for the life of me even find a single one on Nexus.

I dont use anything other than vanilla textures so not entirely sure ..

But I think Sparrowprince and Brumbeks http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10383/? is what you need.

I have had a read of its description before and it includes a lot of meshes which changes the games original applied shader effect, to using actual textures instead ..

.. Or something similar. Pretty sure that is what you will be needing. There are still some technicalities which prevents this mod from completely eradicating the problems with snow, but BDS is as close as you are going to get. Have a good read of the description.

I've been using BDS since the very beginning. As far as I can it's mostly the snow ground that it affects. Does it really touch on the rocks and stones?

Then again, the mod is in BSA format. Maybe one of my other texture mods is overwriting it or something

EDIT: I've checked into the BSA and it only contained meshes files. So no, seems like the mod doesn't affect anything other than the floor and other flat surfaces...

Seriously, where does everyone else get the snow rocks from? I've googled everywhere, seen this similar question raised and never an answer provided.

The way you describe the problem, Better Dynamic Snow is what you need, so clearly, we're not understanding what your issue is :P Post a pic of the rocks you're talking about.
