Pretty new here... but anyway.

I played Morrowind a lot when I was younger, and really enjoyed it! Sadly, I played on Xbox, as I've never had a good computer.

With Skyrim coming out, (after not liking oblivion) I got excited and hoped it would be something more like MW, but it still wasn't as good in my opinion. The problem I had after that was me being reallly keen for TES but not really enjoying the game I had. So I downloaded MW on computer, from steam. I've been playing vanilla MW for a few days, but I would really like to try mods.

Basically what I'm asking is can some of the more computer educated people out there (pretty much everyone) let me know, A) Can you use mods in the steam version of MW? B.) What mods would you recommend? (I'm playing on a [censored] laptop with like 2.4gh duel core and probably like 2gb ram or something, I dont even wana know about the graphics card... so I guess no Super High Res mods, but just some to make it more.. well, less 2002 or whatever. Also any other interesting mods you like, if you could let me know!?)

Yes you can use mods with the steam version, it's just that the main folder will be in steam/steamapps/common instead of the program files folder.

Put all the new files in the Morrowind/Data Files folder (at least i think that's the name of it using steam)

Yeah just simply unpack them inside the "data files" folder. Just don't drop any "data or data files" folder inside "data files" (I've did it way back when I first got MW), but I guess that speaks for itself

Yeah I gave installing some mods a go yesterday, but was extremely hungover and am pretty horrible at computers in general so I may have messed it up. I'll give it a go when I get home from work tonight.
