No, would you like to know why?

Because you will get banned. I guess you have never heard of terms and conditions. If you knew anything about modding you would know this......

I do know this hence why I said Bethesda releasing official software. Stop Trolling

Just get the PC version if you want to mod. Supposedly the graphics are going to be better anyways.
Glorious PC gamer master race!

Yeah meant to be higher resolution only thing with PC is you cant kick back on your sofa with a control.
Might have to save up for s**t hot PC and by the game on xbox and PC.

I think it is pretty obvious that there will be no attempt to get player mods on the consoles:
We like seeing the mods that are made by the community, but we have no plans to make them available as official releases.

Similar to Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3, the tools for Skyrim are PC only. There's no plans to release a version of the Creation Kit on consoles. If you're into modding, we suggest you go for the PC version.

Yes you can. You can even use an XBOX controller with your pc (IIRC) You can even hook up you 65" HD tv to your pc.

So, uhh, in short...Yes you can sit back on the couch and play video games on your pc, after all isn't a console technically a computer, Designed specifically for video games, much the same as some people build their pc's specifically for video gaming?

I don't think they should for Skyrim/Xbox 360, for the simple fact it wouldn't work. Mods make the game highly unstable (at least in previous ES games). How would the 360 handle a crash? And SKSE (Skyrim Scirpt Extender :P ). I think it would be GOOD if they did that, but at the same time, i doubt it can be done. The 360 simply isn't designed for it. Except graphics enhancing mods, and even then, theres no knowing what that would do to it. And of course, theres the fact that a lot of content wouldn't be allowed to be downloaded on Xbox Live, because it would change the games ESRB rating. The reason it doesn't on PC, is because mods don't go through anything as official as Xbox Live.
Just my understanding of things, this could all be very wrong, just speculation :)

Not all mods make games unstable, however, the more mods you add the harder it becomes to maintain a stable load order. That's not to mention the numerous conflicts between some mods. How would the console solve such conflicts? With the pc we have Wrye bash and FO3 and New Vegas Edit. Not sure of the TES version of the latter though.

If we want the advantages of a PC game, we buy a PC for gaming.
If we want the supposed simplicity of an Xbox, we buy an Xbox accepting it's limitations.
"I don't like computers"-then you don't get mods
"I can't afford a computer because I think they cost $10000"-then you get worse graphics
"I like lounging in front of my tv with a controller"-then do some research and you can do it with a pc

We do not buy a Kia Sephia and [censored] and moan and whine and cry over and over and over and over that it's not a [censored] Ferrari.

they should. but they never will. I am surprised no one has hacked the 360 platform to do this... but I guess thats more work than its worth when your just better off with the pc version any ways.

Every time something like this comes up, I always have the same reply. Small things like that can lead to horrible things. In the wii, you could use basically mods, created on the computer, for some games. Most of these were just stages. Then some-hacker found an issue with this. They could use things like this to do whatever they want on the console. Allowed Piracy and hacking to shoot up, and ever since then Nintendo has been trying to fix this. They have failed so far. If Xbox did something like modding, it could lead to the same thing. Microsoft and Sony like there money, so this is a no...

Oh boy, another one of these threads. It's not Bethesda's fault there arent mod's for console. If they released a modding tool they would get sued. Sony/Microsoft do not allow it. Blame them.

I seriously think a moderator should close this before it just becomes a forest fire.

Wanna bet? I can hook my PC up to my TV, and I have a cordless mouse and keyboard. I can play it from my couch if I want.

As for the topic, I won't say never, because we certainly don't know. What we do know, though, is that it won't happen for Skyrim.

On-topic. I think it would be more trouble than it's worth. Anything BGS releases on XBL has to be screened by MS first.

That works, too. I just don't have an Xbox controller to do that with, nor am I any good with them.

One thing that really bugged me is that I could never get mods on my Xbox 360.
So do you think that, when Skyrim is released, it should come with some soft wear that enables us to install console versions of mods?

I've searched the forums and so far found nothing on this topic (the search rarely works in opera)

yes!
...please mummy?

They could add a separate download page for unofficial, but tested community mods, and implement a mod management menu for consoles. To cover the expenses, they could charge a certain amount of MS points per mod or tack on a monthly fee.

Or, if MS doesn't like that idea, they could take the most popular community mods and add them as unofficial add-ons (which could be done monthly for at least a year).

Please change the name of this..... Cause when you refer to 360, you refer to the system.... But when you mean Consoles in general, that means both PS3 and 360.... I do not want console gamers to mod but i want the devs to realease best Mods for pc on the consloes every year or so...... I think it would be a nice free add on for the PS3.... But obviously Microsoft does not abide by giving out free things.... Like you have to pay for clothes for Avatars on the 360 :shakehead: ....
