Mods functioning worse over time?

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 12:25 am

I haven't played Fallout 3 in roughly five months, I just played again today, I noticed something right away with one of the mods I use http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6173 the face textures were patchy witch was never a problem before, I also noticed a problem with the alternative start mod I use (which has since been removed by the author I have no idea why it was a very popular mod) when I went to the terminal to pick an Occupation clicking the "more..." button that use to bring additional occupations did nothing it just showed the "Error..." message at the bottom of the terminal. What's causing my mods to go whack? How can I fix this? I have no idea what other mods could be having problems because I stopped playing right away but I fear for the worst...

Ok, so if I understand right. You stopped playing FO3 5 months ago and never uninstalled and have now come back to play again?

OK. Have you been using your PC for other things, like other games, browsing the net and installing PC and hardware updates? All this could`ve changed your computer settings\configs in such a way that FO3 now has a bit of a problem working right. Maybe you now need to check your graphic drivers, or update fO3 somehow, etc. I wouldn`t immediately blame Mods.

There's no way that time is the only factor, that's simply not possible. There is the possibility that one of your mod files became corrupted somehow, but it's most likely some change in your system like Shield Watcher suggests.
