Mods, Mods, and more Mods

Post » Wed Aug 10, 2011 5:59 am

You forgot about gameplay enhancement mods in general, like a basic needs, keyring or an improved enchantment mod.

- First thing I'm going to mod is the UI, if it's as bad as the Oblivion UI was
- Second mod will be more creature diversion
- Third mod will be more perks
- Fourth mod will be darker nights and dungeons
- Fifth mod will be improved crafting, making anything out of anything possible, like for example bonemeal out of bones etc.
- Sixth mod will be basic needs
- Seventh mod will be companions *looks at Toaster*
- Eigth mod will be balance overhaul, cause I'm sure the game is a little bit unbalanced, as always
- Nineth mod will be a Journal mod, were you can write your own stuff

I would also use mods like "Item Ownership", "Glittering Geology", "Gem Dust", "Harvest Flora" and other mods that bring use to unused clutter items. Harvest Flora is essential, depending on how they engined harvesting this time.

zzz i can see the point, but i dont have any spaces left and plus i want to add stuff or modify stuff not completely remove it
True but after seeing the Demo, theres Absolutely No Space for a Relationship no matter who or what you are or who you are Dating.

Clearly the whole Marriage thing shouldve been in Oblivion.

Here is a List of Mods i would like, so forgive the Requests as it was a List for when the Game comes. :P

01. Please make a mod that Removes Romance and Marriage with having Children, even Same six Dating/Marriage of Other NPC’s. No matter if i try to give something to the Person im falling in love with, She/He should just tell me off. I dont even want to get close to the Proposal Ring or telling my Best Friend im gonna Propose to the Girl. My Focus is On The Game.

02. Please make a Mod for No be-heading and No lost limbs, Im Not a Blood and Gore Fan

03. Please make these Casual Clothes so I can wear them in the Game, just have a Shopkeeper Sell It.

04. I would like a Mod to place a Map Marker at every Ayleid Well, Runestone, Doomstone, Guardian Stone and Wayshrine.

05. Please Remove the Blur stagger effect and Remove Water/Blood Spots from my Screen.

06. When Viewing the Menu or Inventory Screen, there is a Blur Background, please make a Mod to Remove it.

07. I would like a Mod to give me Real Days/Weeks/Months/Years.

11. I would like a Mod for a Better Detection Spell Affect, something like a Big Glow when you are in Distant View of the Character and then it turns into a Thin Glow when you are Close to the Person.

16. I would like a Key Ring Mod for Keys I pick up please.

21. Please make a Small Magical Panel that appears in the First House i buy so i can carry it with me, then i can use it to Teleport me to one of the Choosing Houses i own around Skyrim. When i use it again, it Teleports me back to where i was.
If i leave the House, its a New Location from House to New Area and it should Never work when im in Danger or in the middle of a Fight.

22. Please make a Mod for Auto Full Healing when my Life is at 90% This could help in keeping me from going into the Inventory all the time and Eat myself to Health then go back to Fighting. It should Only work if i have Food with me, otherwise i just Die from the Attack. Depends on what type of Food Heals me and how many i would Normally Eat. Healing Potions and Healing Spells should be just Normal.

23. Not sure if its save for a Mod to Remove the Difficulty Slider so you could jut play the Game as it is without knowing its Easy or Hard.

Thats a lot of mods :)
If they aren't catered for by the game options I'd imagine most of those (or something similar) would get made. Thats the beauty of a modded game. We can tailor it to be the game we want which since it would be impossible for Bethesda to please everyone is good

i like trying out mods right and if they come up to my standard (after the first vanilla play through) i add them otherwise, they get remove simple unclick a box (get a mods manager) (forget about that in the poll but i guess it aint a mod) .

What I wish to do.

If the magic doesn't seem to fluid as I wish I would change that up quite a bit. I thought that for example:

The fire spells would just be all in one: tap for a basic fireball, hold one trigger down for a flamethrowing effect, tapping both triggers to create a medium fireball with an explosice impact, holding both triggers to make a huge ass fireball explosion. tapping tghe ground or nearby wall to create a basic trap.(Or creating a human bomb if near a human and tapping a walking NPC fireball trap.

But I see that now we just have spells like so.

Fireball
Flames
Fire rune
etc.

A bit dissapointed.

U know it's not the same thing. U modify the game, u destroy it. I've seen lots of videos (on youtube) about mods that simply destroyed oblivion for example.

You take the pen and you destroy the notebook, or add beautiful images and notes there.

Keep making metaphors. Most of the time mods are like cheating. I can find plenty of videos in which players cheat using mods.
To remain in a metaphoric side is like u call an artist to improve YOUR notebook.

You seem like a "Half empty glass of water" kind of person.

I have seen pretty impressive mods in Morrowind and Oblivion.

Mods that add impressive content like beautiful vista, clothing, gear, and the like.

Mods that add brilliant quest-lines, some of them even better than the best of vanilla quests.

Mods that change the look and feel of the scenery to much eye pleasing version.

Mods that change the game-play, to something a lot better and more enjoyable.

And finally and the most important of all, mods that remove a lot of mistakes left by the game designers.

There are a lot of such great mods out there mingled with the worthless crap out there.

You just have to look for them, and know where to look, of-course.

i was just clearing my point of view about a game, it's not real life

However Most of the mods i've seen are just for cheat.

However Most of the mods i've seen are just for cheat.

which mods specifically are you referring to?

there are something like 30,000 or 40,000 unique mods available to download for Oblivion, which can only be installed on the PC version.

And if you are playing on PC, you certainly don't need mods to cheat. all you need to do is open the console command and type "tgm" or "player.additem XXXX" etc.

About 7 or 8 months ago, I installed around 200 mods, including for the very first time some huge overhaul mods that drastically improved the combat balance and leveling.

Combat was too easy in the vanilla version of Oblivion IMO. Even at high levels, the only thing that changes is more health, so a duel with a powerful enemy ends up like two super powerful knights hitting each other with a wet noodle.

After installing FCOM and Duke Patricks mods, suddenly I was dying very frequently at about 75% on the difficulty slider. With Duke Patricks Archery, you can one-shot enemies, but they can also one-shot you, so you have to approach enemy archers very carefully, hiding behind rocks and trees, etc. I die probably a couple times at almost every combat encounter.

The tiniest dungeons that would only take me 20-30 minutes to clear in vanilla Oblivion, now take me a few hours because I die so many times. Often I get killed by enemies in one shot, so I have to play much more strategically.

And I have installed mods to greatly increase all merchant prices, because in the vanilla version of the game, it was way too easy to become filthy rich. For me, if I ever get too wealthy in the game it becomes boring, because there is no more point to accumulating wealth and loot. So I installed mods to make the game more challenging.

I also installed mods to deepen the role-playing experience, by adding more factions, more quests, more layers of gameplay like hunger, thirst, sleep, mods that give all the NPCs unique identities and more dialogue options, mods that drastically improve the visuals and the sound effects, etc.

After playing the game with around 200 great mods, including: FCOM, all of Duke Patrick's mods including Hypothermia and Combat Magic, Deadly Reflex, Better Cities, Tamriel NPCs Revamped, OBGEv2, Qarl's High Res Texture Pack, Midas Magic, Oblivifall Losing My Religion, Giskard's Necromancer Mod, Origin of the Mages' Guild, Fighter's Guild Contracts, Gold Horse Courier, Lore Dialogue 300, Myths and Legends, Ashes to Ashes, Unique Landscapes, Atmospheric Oblivion, AWLS, Symphony of Violence, Oblivion Stereo Sound Overhaul, COBL Real Hunger, Real Thirst, Real Sleep Extended, Oblivifall Let's Talk and Enhanced Economy

--- I could never go back to playing vanilla Oblivion

I've always found just useless, or cheting mods. Maybe i've been unlucky.

Never too early for brainstorming for mods.. Especially if the UI is truly the same across all platforms.

Really looking forward to a good survival mod - hunger, thirst, fatigue, sleep, hydration, etc.

I'd like to attempt it myself but I don't have much modding experience. I get the feeling I'd pour dozens of hours into it only to find someone did a much better job.

I would also like to see constructable shelters, campfires, etc. Maybe traps you can set and check... but that's at the end of a long wishlist.
