Indeed - nothing better to do than kill bad guys (in lots of creative ways - from guns to melee weapons and explosives)...it really helps your mood!

greetings LAX

ps: Just use the console commands :)

Blocking trophies would be the smarter thing to do ya. Plus I don't think Bethesda would mind OP mods given how OP you can be in their vanilla games anyway

Again, why should they care?theres actually a body of Xbox games that exist just to pad people's achievement scores.same with steam. No ones ever blocked people from racking up chevoes on steam even with mods

I don't see why they wouldn't, however, I do think any mod that includes nudity, requires a script extender, or breaks the game won't make the cut. I'm very interested in how they will determine what mods will be allowed though.

And that makes me wonder how Beth will deal with the first pressure cooker bomb mod. Obviously not copyrighted or nvde, but a sensitive subject.

I was actually curious as to why a script extender would be exclusive to pc only? What are the technical limitations and ramifications?

I am just user myself and not a creator. I mostly use the editor to fix the bugs and imbalances that annoy me in Bethesda titles. I have known of people using modified 360's to run SE required mods and that it is obviously possible but my knowledge base doesn't really grasp the "is it practical at this time" question.

The script extender works by accessing the games exe file. Such a thing isn't allowed on the console due to -I think- security issues, essentially you could use the games exe to access the inner code of the console, that bit the average user doesn't have access to.

And just to point out, those guys modifying their consoles to run mods were breaking the EULA to do so.

I believe it can open up a greater possibility of corruption/manipulation of a system (console) by ill-intending folks. I always scan mods I download for viruses before I install them.

why don't you put one up on nexus then contact the media and find out?

Seriously a lot of the mods going up now on nexus are prototypes and concepts for fallout 4.

Yes that is a nasty outcome and particularly damaging. I also considered it to be possible to gradually brick a console with texture mods and slight graphical enhancements. Obviously a heavy load would crash the system but slight performance enhancements past a particular point could stress the hardware enough to destroy it over time without the user being none the wiser.

Well I have always played PC, but I believe the console makers will keep a tight leash on mods for FO4. So if you want the FULL experience of a Bethesda game play it on PC

op mods would be amazing on consoles but there would be a possibility of crash......but still there will also be a patch for mod(by the mod maker) :) SO NO WORRIES

JUST EXTERMINATE YOUR ENEMIES INTO PIECES!!

also console commands are amazing if you want to be an "UNSTOPPABLE MONSTER" in the game
