Mods - Which ones should I put in?

I don't want too many mods, just mods that make the gameplay better

That's... really vague. You're going to have to talk about what you'd like about Fallout 4 to be different. Any mod someone installs makes the game better in *their* opinion, so that kind of thing says very little.

Best advice I can give, short of telling you to wait until proper modding tools have been released (http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1568434-fyi-to-potential-mod-users-tesvsnip-mods-thread-2/) is to simply visit the Nexus and start looking around for mods that grab your interest. I suspect that's the way most of us have found most of their mods over the years. I myself have been over there looking for one mod, only to stumble over something completely different from what I was actually looking for on more than one occasion.

I just posted the ones I'm using; http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1580150-the-mods-i-use-may-be-of-use-to-those-just-starting-out/with brief descriptions.

I suggest you go to nexusmods and sort by most endorsed. Look through them and pick what you like: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/searchresults/?

Also, as a general tip, skim through the comments of any mod that you're interested in before downloading. Most mods should be okay, but if you notice a lot of "this mod ruined my save" or "this mod has a ton of issues" sort of comments, be more cautious about installing it. Context is important, too - some comments might just be from idiots who installed the mod wrong and came to just crap on it, but if the majority of comments are negative and it actually sounds like there are issues with the mod, watch out. And if the mod doesn't have any comments, or many endorsemants, that doesn't mean it's bad. Just not well-known.

At any rate, just practice some caution when you install a mod (create backup saves, test the mod out first) regardless of how reliable the mod or mod author is. And read, read, read. Especially anything in the mod description marked "MUST READ", or the installation instructions. You'd be surprised how many people don't do this. >.>
