I have now completed Moe Cronin's quest to retrieve baseball memorabilia twice. The same quest, the same items in the same places. I discovered this glitch by accident when I went back through the estate where the goodies are found and discovered that they had come back to the spots where I found them the first time. Then I went to DC and spoke to Moe, who gave me the option to ask for work; when I did, he offered me the quest again.

I will test again to see if this is an infinitely resetting quest...
