Are you using Wyre Mash? It will take you to set up. There a couple of programs you have to set up but I would recommend anyone that uses mods to use wyre mash.

Yes, I'm using Wyre Mash. After the reinstallation of game+mods, everything is working fine. Mog Hands were spiked for about 10 seconds, until I used the CS fix. Everything's working well great right now ^_^

Hey I started modeling something, but didn't really know what to do with it.
I originally planned to make a suit of Daedric armor (probably having to do with a Valkynaz), but I was wondering if anyone wanted it for something else instead.

Sneakyninjaotter, did you want it as a mutated Dremora or something for your mod?
Or is it too creepy for the whole cute and cudly moogle thing?

Just looking for some oppinions regarding what to do with this hideous thing...

Inspiration was Bethesda's daedric helmet concept art (with a few that never appeared in-game), Doom 3's imps, and a rinocerous I guess.

Still a WIP, and I'll take suggestions.

Ooh. That's pretty creepy. But I think I can use it. I mean, I wasn't aiming for anything child-friendly when I decided to make it full of moogles. Although it'll be pretty funny when the player sees what all these fluffy guys are up against.

SneakyNinjaOtter,

I was discussing what sort of land a Moogle would have with my brother? He is as big as geek as me and we threw some ideas around on a recent car trip.

He reminded me that Moogles like to dance. Let's make a dance hall in the city. YOu go in and there are five or six moogle sdancing around.

And here is a RECENT MOG MOD FIND- http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5090

Hey...uhhh...
Don't really know how to put this...

The Ant is dropping out of this thing.
Yeah, I don't really have any interest in these things. Too childish and silly; don't fit in with the dreary thing, soooo...
I'm thinking of moving on to more lore-friendly stuff.

Besides, The Ant kinda hates anime.
Also, if I'm gonna be a lore guy, this mog stuff'll be bad for reputation.

So..uuuhh...ALL HAIL THE ANT! bye...

Okay, well no new meshes means no new items, means stock armor.

I suppose I can deal.

So, until this thing dies, I'll just come up with more ideas, and see if I ever get back to the CS with it...

I'm not a very angry person anyway... Good luck with things, Ant!

As for Ane', I'm taking an animation class this semester. However, I hear it's hard to import models in Poser 6, which is all I've got to work with.

However, if I can get it to work, I will attempt to animate moogle dances.

Sorry to hear The Ant leave, if this is childish and silly, then call me 2 and 1/2! :P
I love this kinda stuff.:goodjob:
And now on to working on my mod, to try to get it done as fast and as good as I can. :)

I will be glad to help with this mod Sneakyninjaotter. My claim to fame is a list that is NOT Lore friendly. :D

Maybe we could check out Redwoodtreespite's site with the modder's resources. Some nice asian textures might help cover up the fact we are using stock meshes. :D

As for the dancing, I thought we could use the animation that makes the dancers of Suran's favorite bar dance. :D

Okay, consider yourself hired then ^_^.

And I'll check out RTS' stuff, too. I don't think we can use an existing dance animation, though, 'cause moogles are put together differently. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Nope, beast races have a different foot skeleton setup, and the dancing animation is set up for the non-beast race skeleton setup, you would need a new animation that uses the beast setup.

Sorry to see The Ant go, he did some great models.

I came in at about mogmod thread the seventh so I dont know what all moogle sociological info has been gathered, like name rules and stuff, and I have played just about every final fantasy from about 4 on so i'm not completely ignorant ff lorewise. I would like to help in any way I can. I have Blender, Nifskope, plus limited modelling and texturing ability,(About the equivelent of soggy toast but I am working on it).

Maybe somebody can tell me if anything is wrong with my load order in reference to my hand spike. Any input from the experts (you people :D ) would be appreciated.

Hmm, don't see any real problems.

Actually, mine's in a pretty weird order; I have:
_MOG_ENABLE_ONLY...
MCP
_Mog_Race_V4b.
Moogle Supplies V2
BB Mog and Westly's headpack.
But I didn't put them that way for any real reason. Yours seems more logical.

Edit: Does Better Body mogs fix the handspike? Has anyone ever tried? If it does, we can use it as a cure, if nothing else works.

then do you actually change the filename, (IE;remove the .1st) or just pick the 1st person hands in the CS?

The better body mog mod doesn't fix the hand spike.

Oh, that's interesting. I would think, since it replaces the bodyparts, that it would.

So it must be a texture problem, then? I never knew that.

Spike bug couldn't be a texture error, texture errors don't stretch the mesh the way that does.
Keep on fiddling around with pieces and stuff in TESCS until it seems to work right, I got mine to work by changing both the first person hands and the third person hands to mog_m_skin.nif (For the Male) and mog_f_skin.nif (For the Female)
Try that :goodjob:

Do you have to start a new game to see if it fixed it. If not then no go on SithDagger's idea and i never had a problem with the first person hands just the third person.

I fixed it. I just needed to use mog_f/m_skin2 for the third person hands and leave the first person hands alone. Thank you.

I think the cuteness of the mini mogs may make me, possibly, explode. Who needs clothing when you are a little pile of fluff? Clothing is useless. The only alterations should be changing the color of the moogly balls. : D Mooglies!

I'm not sure if making the mini mogs playable would turn out good. They're a very very small race. You know the stairs bug that happens sometimes with normal sized mogs? Imagine that only worse. But, of course, I've never tried it to find out...

Changing the floppy ball thing (pon-pon, I think it's called) would also change the nose color. They're the same thing. If you look at the screenshot for the Moglits mod you'll notice all the noses and pon-pons are the same colors. I got very frustrated when I realized the skin did that.

It's a good idea for different heads to choose from. If anyone does end up trying it... oh screw it, I'm going to go test it out :P brb

edit:
Ok then...

Where'd the rest of him go? No idea. I think new meshes need to be made for them to be playable.
