These threads are for the continuation of furthing the Morrowind Mog*Mod Modding Community and for posting and listing any new releases and/or ideas for anything Mog*Mod releated. These threads have, in the past, and are still yet to be I'm sure, been instramental in orginisizing and informing all those that care about any new ideas/plans/wips/rels/etc related to said Mog*Mod (for Morrowind).

These threads are also a saving grace to all the non-Mog*Mod fans that use these forums, as these threads also serve as a location for new users to come and ask questions, espiecally about the same few bugs that many many people seem to come across. Before these threads came about, the forums was consintly flooded with the same mog questions over and over and over. Much like all the inane "best mods" theads that are still plaguing the forum.

The Spiked Hands Bug

... you've caught the bug.
There's two ways to fix this problem:
01 - Download and install the Mog Fixes listed above (which will also correct a couple other bugs).
02 - Do it yourself in the comfert of your own CS. Here's how...
1) Open the CS
2) Load the Mog Mod and set it as your active file
3) Go to the 'Body Parts' tab and click on the box that says 'Race' (There will be ID, Count, Type, and then Race) this sorts the entrys so all the parts from moogles are together
4) Scroll down till you find the 'Mog' race
5) Find the entry b_n_mog_f_hands.1st this is the first person view hands body part double click on it
6) Note the what it says in the button on the top right hand side(should be something like MOG_v4\f\mog_f_hands1st.nif)
7) Just above the entry for the first person hands is the entry for third person hands b_n_mog_f_hands
8. Click the button in the upper right hand corner (it will have a file name in it as well) change it to the filename you got from the first person hands.
9. Repeat 5-8 for the male entrys(b_n_mog_m_hands.1st, b_n_mog_m_hands)


Take your time and make sure you get the file names correct, this'll solve 99.9% of every spiked hand problem out there.

-Mikuto Merrick cannot find a resolution to his spiked hands bug. (As he suggested, I think you should but the MCP later in load order than all your other Mog related Mods.)
-Kitteh was requesting that the little Moogles seen in MCA be made into a playable race.

If you can't tell, the moogle island has 3 important parts, the city, the lake and the mine. Captain Amoc the moronic moogle guard that lets you in also let in some orc baddies and they are holding the lake hostage, charging for use of it. Someone sends you to go kill them. I thought we could do this so The Ant's orc faces could come to some use.
On the mine I thought we could take a page out of LoTR. The moogles dug too deep and discovered the machine and the monsters. :D


Any one have any ideas they would like me to draw up?

I am flabbergasted!

I got the shirt to show up. To think that the problem was simply renaming the shirt in max to "Left Ankle."
All that remains is tweaking the vertex weights, fixing texture seams, and positioning it just right.

Oh...and some pants! I have to make some pants!
I'll draw inspiration from Oblivion, as all of Oblivion's pants are poofy and baggy.
That way I can release it as something completely unrelated to the original idea and therefore apeal to a wider audience!

Through a mixture of trial and error and load order changing I have fixed any and all problems I've been having with the Mog*Mod.

I think the cuteness of the mini mogs may make me, possibly, explode. Who needs clothing when you are a little pile of fluff? Clothing is useless. The only alterations should be changing the color of the moogly balls. : D Mooglies!

Kitteh, just so you won't think people are ignoring I look into trying to grant your wish. I install the moglits and took a look at it in the CS. I know how to make a new race but I don't know how to assign the moglits to that race. I might be making it too simple. :( I did try.

OK, a small update. For some reason everything shifts to the side when a spear is ready.
Also...oh this is bugging the CRAP out of me...the sleeves are either gone or stuffed into the chest.
I don't see the problem. I cut the mesh up into 3 so the sleeves are upper arm, but they still didn't show up.

But other than that, all that is left is a bit of clipping and it's ready. Then I can start all over again with pants and a long-sleeve shirt, with horrible texturing, horrible mapping, and a full day of figuring out how to make them move. And I thought it was gonna be fun...

Oh, crap...And I have to make female versions...

BUT ZOMG THE ANT STILL WORKS on it! Because he is a nice guy! And has nothing better to do.
Also, I came up with another monster idea.
The bandersnatch, I think, is a recurring Alice in Wonderland-themed fast monster in Final Fantasy. Or at least, he was in FFX as a wolf thing.
I'm thinking of something closer to the Alice in Wonderland version. Wikipedia describes that one as some weird thing with long legs. :shrug:

Don't worry, I don't think people are ignoring me. I just felt like post, and putting a small add-on (or rather, add-off) to my request.

I can't tell you how much it means that you tried, if the CS worked on mine, i would try too, but thank you. Maybe one of these two will have it figured out soon! hee hee.

We can play pretty loose with the lore. I mean our stars are cute fuzzy hair balls. :D I don't know about sneakyninjaotter but I had half suspect that fairies bring new meshes every time you download a mod.

The Ant, are you using a free mesh making program? I will download it, get confused trying to make a shirt, and then resume my role as cheerleader. :D

I'm still plagued by the hand spike. I've attempted to fix it in CS, I've downloaded the Mog*Mod Community Patch, and made sure it's loading after all my other Mog mods, and nothing. I am beyond frustrated.

Wish I could use the mog temple, but even though I have EVERYTHING installed correctly it still gives me errors, like the mod didn't load any of the meshes/graphics

Ah. I always forget to add the hand-bug thing, SithDagger. Thanks for reminding.

And I'll add Baratheon79's mod, thanks for pointing it out, Anebrd.

Edit: As for Mikuto; did you catch that quote that I forgot to add? It's up there now at the end. Also, the MCP comes in three parts. I dunno if you need them all for the handspike, but that might be the problem.

Edit 2: In other news, while away from my computer I've stopped doing actual work on the mod, and instead have come up with NPC's, quests, and easter-eggs for the mod.

Speaking of which, Ant, if you wanted to take a break from the armor, do you think you could model http://metalgearsaga.wordpress.com/files/2006/06/photo_l1.jpg to fit on a moogle's head? That's one of the easter eggs I wanted to stick in. You don't have to texture it if you don't want to; I can find someone to do that.

Though... I just thought of something... It probably won't fit on a moogle using the big eyes. Do you think we should script it to force the player to use a different face, or should the mesh include "eyes" that will match up with the bandana?

Sure! Do you have a back and side view of that too?
Also, do you want my Daedric boots? I still have them.

I know the ends are all flowey and whatnot, but animating them is most likely not worth it unless you really wanted to.

I can't get the fixes to work either. Could someone reweight the left hand and release a new fix for it, if need be i could tell you which vertices are broken to make things easier. I have blender and know what the problem is but don't know how to post screenshots or upload files, nor do I trust myself with such a task.
(I fixed it once then my computer died and i haven't re fixed it yet.)

(edit: computer is fixed vertices aren't. To clarify the computer's ailment was due to my fiddling with it not the mogmod.)

Where did you download yours?
And did you try the BB version?

I downloaded all my moogle mods from the links here and mogmod v4b from machall.com which i found through the links here too. I've learned to live with the moogle spikes so its no big deal to me whether a new fix is made or not.

Do you mean westly's bb mogs from his head pack?

Yes, I changed the filenames in CS, but that didn't seem to help either. Since I've been having some unexplainable issues in my game I'm going for a full reinstall anyway, since my mod folder is an utter MESS. So hopefully after reinstalling, readding mods and what not, the game might work better. I'll keep you updated.

Mostly mods not working. I think it's because I was far too hasty in installing them and not paying attention to load orders and whatnot. Plus my Data Files folder was an incredible mess, so I wanted a fresh start. I'm making a detailed list of mods I'm installing, and what order they need to be in.
