Molag Bal and Clavicus Vile

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:19 pm

Have Molag Bal, as patron of the vampires, and Clavicus Vile, who changed the Cyrodiil bloodline, ever actively communicated with any of his (Molag Bal's) "children?"

As in contacting them in their sleep or when someone turns into a vampire?

If not in any books, would this be way too unlikely of an occurance?

There is much debate if Molag Bal really are the "patron of Vampires", but my guess would be that it's very unlikely that they would have communicate with any Vampire if not a great and powerfull one.

Some cyrodillic vampires worship Clavicus vile but i've never heard of him contacting any vampires. Molag Bal cured the nerevarine of his vampirism so that was kind of helping his children. One daedra lord who maybe contacting vampires maybe Vaenirma(is this spelt correctly?) the daedric prince of nightmares, which would explain the gruesome and distrubing dreams vampires recieve.

Okay, thanks.

For the sake of a fanfic/story, though. Would it be impossible for it to happen?

As in, either Molag Bal or Clavicus Vile use a vampire for a special need "quest"...

Ya, Daedra Princes choose champions to further their agendas all the time. So using one that would worship them is completely sensible.

Think of Malacath, I'm sure he orders around Orcs and Ogres all the time.

[edit]: And Arisn is correct as well. Vaermina is mentioned when the Neravarine is cured of vampirism. (Apparently she had the cure and Molag Bal retrieved it from her). See the conversation http://www.imperial-library.info/book_daedra/daedric_prince_mw.shtml#bal_vamp.

Glad I could help.

By the way, Xan has written an http://www.imperial-library.info/fsg/xanarticle1.shtml on Vampires of Illiac Bay and Vvardenfell. Another good resource would be the http://www.imperial-library.info/book_daedra/, which have small mentions of vampiracy underneath the appropriate sections of the proper Princes. (http://www.imperial-library.info/book_daedra/index1.shtml#molag, http://www.imperial-library.info/book_daedra/index1.shtml#vaernima)

I've already read those, but didn't see much in the way of what I was looking for. Thanks, though. :)
