The player isn't a pureblood but can still become a V Lord. Harkon is the kind of guy who want nothing less than perfect for himself so if that means giving up his wife and child to Bal and a few souls so be it no matter what someone else thinks.

Only first generation and second generation vampires can turn into vamp lords hence why the PC can transform since their blood is pure enough to transform or in others word closer to the source of vampirisim which is molag bal.

Yep, next vampire sired will be always be more diluted than the previous and if that one then sired someone, that someone will be even more diluted. The side effects are the loss of certain powers, namely the ability to transform into a bat-like creature.

It sort of follows Vampire: the Masquerade/Requiem rules and design. ;)

Yup your character in vampire masquerade bloodlines was a 6th/7th generation vampire I think can't remember you can tell what generation they are by how many blood points they have. Hmm thinking about re installing the game again on steam and do a low humanity run I like low humanity run's.

I liked low humanity as well, you got extra dialogue options, heh I was a right Angelus in that game.
And yeah, it kinda is like the generation thing from VTM.

I think volk is more of gangrel/brujah than anything else. My favourite clan's in vampire the masquerade is brujah and gangrel and they pretty much fit the bill when it comes to volk.

Gangrels got to turn into bat-like creatures as well once you maxed out protean.

Nosferatu are way too ugly, Gangrel/brujah and daeva are more suited. I like the bat-like faces though, it looks like a proper vampire that way.

Yup at first when I first played the game I thought it was a wolf like creature but I looked it up and looked closer at the model to see its actually a bat like creature. Oh and I love that skill it makes supernatural creatures cry like babies.

In the world of darkness (unlike TES) if you kill and commit diablerie on another kindred you go down a generation for example if a 7th generation diablerized a 6th generation he/she would become apart of that and continuing to do so will make you drop 1 gen at a time.

Yeah but then all the other vampires will catch on you are doing that and then all the local kindred will hunt you down lol. I mean yeah if you read up on gangrel and brujah clan background it pretty much fits the volk vampires of skyrim like a glove

Yup diablerie is not liked by the kindred and the only group that actively does it is the sabbat and everyone hates them.

It does not work like that, you have to drain a vampire that is lower than you in generation (not the same or a higher gen), otherwise you do not get any benefit except maybe the power of that bloodline (not the one you belong to obviously) you drained.

Yup thats how diablerie works as nero described thats why the prince wanted "that" object so much. Trying to be careful with spoilers here.
