So i was wondering around the wasteland and went into the Tepid Sewers or whatever they are called, and killed all the molerats. Now i have the Wasteland Survival Guide quest, and i can't even find 3 molerats to kill (thus forfeiting the bonus). Anybody know where i could find some?

Around the side of Megaton, there are three molerats who hang around the hollowed-out rock. They respawn every three days.

Go to the RoboCo Facility near the Tenpenny Tower and use the stick on the molerats in there. Just make sure you don't kill all of the radroaches or molerats as you'll return to this site in the next chapter of the quest.

There's a bunch alot closer than that. Just go to the Jury Street Metro Station, you'll find plenty of Mole Rats down there.

And you can wander around the area where Big Town, Moresti, and Hamilton's Hideaway are, OR the area around Vault 112. Lots of mole-ratties in both places. Plus, there are four more inside the garage itself.

I usually start the quest early so I'll get the stick right away, then go for 10 ratties, that way I get to keep the repellent stick. I usually encounter far more than that, and the stick is the most efficient way to dispatch them.

Does it matter if you kill them all? your goal in the next quest is to activate the computer. Yes they might help you at low level if all the robots become hostile.
My tricks against the robots was to place a mine close to all I could find on my way up. I was unable to control them but as they activated as hostiles the mines went off
