It would make sense that they would be included in it. I'm fine with them. I'll probably throw a few myself!

Just another grenade type. That being said setting enemies on fire :flamethrower: is always good.

They are a great addition to the game and do make it stick out.
Molotov Cocktails should create great new gameplay and change it up.
And they shouldnt be viewed as Brinks version of the Tomahawks or Throwing Knives in CoD.

Do we really know what they do? I mean besides cover an area with fire.

Its just hard to give an opinion if I don't know what molotovs do in the game. Does it make an area impassable for awhile? Does it set enemies aflame (so if they run out of the area, they're still on fire)?

If molotovs end up doing none of that, then at least they will probably end up being a damage over time weapon, similar to the gas grenades in World at War. I'm betting that it will set people on fire though.

It's just an addition to the soldier's arsenal of grenades. Nothing special imho.

Molotovs > frags

Not necessarily for practicality, but for hilarity.

It would make sense for say Resistance to have Molotovs (because they are makeshift) And Security to have something like Incendiaries (I know they are more powerful than Molotovs but it was a thought)

Watch! Watch the beautiful fire!! Watch as it consumes your flesh! :D

I love the smell of napalm in the morning. But molotovs aint napalm so NUUU.

Anywho they are great and could add some more tactics into the game.

P.s. the gas grenades in waw are named Tabun Gas. I myself would perfer mustard gas, or clorhine gas (which i spelled wrong) :P

I thought they Scrapped this?

Need someone to Confirm this.

Molotov's would fit Very well with the Resistance.
To be honest, i can't see the Security using them.

If they are in the game, people would just stop the spawn area with Molotovs.
Great thing to take down tanks. TOWERING INFERNO!

Anyways, I would love to see them in the game.

They have been confirmed, too lazy to find a source though. They had originally scrapped it and surprised us all by confirming the presence of molotovs at a later date. You can take my word for it or don't. Doesn't matter either way.

Security can have Molotovs
Resistance ones will likely just be rags in bottles set alight
At some points in history military has used Molotovs or "fuel bombs" as weaponry and added onto this is the fact that Security are more or less beat cops so to say which means that Security might not be that strict weaponry-wise

I would like molotovs in the game if they are hard to come by. If everybody had them it would just make me annoyed and eventually mad

Nah, i like the stuff that makes you wish you were killed by a chainsaw to the face instead :P, Chlorine gas used as a weapon, destroys your lungs and you die from not being able to breath and gasping for air >: D
Mustard gas (my fav) it was ment to be a incapacitating agent, most people survive it but if you look at a few pictures..... anywho if basicly makes you BURN :flame: your skin burns, your lungs burn, your eyes burn, you'll have blisters all over you filled with yellow fluid in no time once exposed to that stuff, ahh chemical warfare, how i love you. :chaos:

Thanks for the confirmation, even though there was no source at all, i take your word.

I still don't see Security using molotovs, for my own role-play, im not gonna use molotovs as security.. ( thats a lie )

Just hope that they don't insta-incapacitate like the molotovs in W:ET. (They were part of some servers who used a certain mod.)

No weapon in Brink will be a one shot incapacitation 'I-WIN' button - this is a stated fact from dev interviews - short of a BUFFED sniper rifle hitting a light body type without buffed health (which is hard to come by to begin with).
Infact, grenades and explosives in Brink are apparently intended more as a crowd control weapon, to confuse and scatter the enemy forces - not as a AoE death machine (or, as it was mentioned, a 'noobtube').

Here's to that. :foodndrink:
