Moment

It was a while ago, but on my fsecond playthrough I decided I would try to go around Primm rather than through it. As I was wandering around in the mountain, in the dark, with absolutly no idea where I was going, I came upon the Canyon Wreckage. Needless to say I had a moment. All that struff about Courier Six and the passage leading out to who-knows-where. Anyways I thought it was pretty damned cool.

Well, I'm a gentleman, so I can't share my best [censored] moments... but one of my favs was when I was exploring across the Colorado river, just seeing what was down/over there along the river from Cottonwood on up... and I found a steep chute where you can get up out of the river bottom and climb over the rim, on the east side. I won't tell you what is up in that hidden rocky valley over there, but if you go to explore it, pack some serious heat.

My most memorable moment from NV was right at the beginning while leaving Goodsprings on my quest to find the man in the checkered suit I ran across a refrigerator with a dead gambler inside along with a hat. I stole his hat and quickly placed it on top of my head then walked off into the sunset to truly begin my quest!

One moment I will always remember was my Legion playthrough, I was at Hoover Dam during the final battle. My fire axe one hit killed an NCR Heavy Trooper via decapitation, never have I seen such an epic moment like that, aside from the sound of the screaming bombs hitting the Legion in my other playthroughs. :disguise:

For me, there weren't a lot of those moments in FONV. I guess going through my 7th playthrough with the Legion questline and actually seeing the mutilated bodies of NCR citizens and the random slave next to the legate's bed. I was just surprised I didn't see them before, and I facepalmed when I did.

I have to moments I thought were pretty awesome to see.

-I was following the road from Nipton until I reached a big caravan pack (which seem to always be there) so I followed them until they met up with some Legion by the road. They started fighting then out of no where a pack of NCR Troops flanked them from behind. It was a total massacre the Legion didn't stand a chance.

-I followed the same Caravan all the way near Ranger Station Charlie when I saw some Legion on the top of ledge up above. They started opening fire on the caravan. They killed a guard and a merchant then two others came around the corner with machetes and killed the rest why they were distracted.

I just love when the NPCs actually look like they are using military tactics rather then just rushing them and firing point blank or something.

My moment was when I walked into Caesar's camp and the guy wanted to take my weapons. I kind of chuckled at him and raised my gun and shot him straight in the head. From there it was a complete slaughter. After I walked into Caesar's tent and single handedly slayed everyone in there, I just kind of stopped for a moment to admire the silence, staring at the sea of dead bodies. *sigh* PURE UNSATURATED SATISFACTION. (btw i did it out of anarchy, not for the scum known as the NCR)

On my first slaughter at the fort, I was pretty surprised when I saw what a Ballistic Fist can do to my face :shocking:

And my best moment was during the Van Graff's quest, where these Legion scumbags got ambushed by the NCR. I was so happy

I've done 350+ hrs on NV and have had so many epic moments it's hard to count, but I do remember one play through when I was rushing Black Mountain with Veronica and Ed-E and we were in a full on – in a line – face to face fire fight near the top with 3 or 4 Super Mutants and a Nightkin, and all of a sudden I saw Ed-E come flying forward unconscious on the ground.

Before I could turn to see what had happened I heard Veronica groan and fall at my feet unconscious and I was like “Wtf is happening to my squad??!!”. I tuned around and in horror I saw a DeathClaw standing right behind me!! It must have been triggered from the quarry or something, and because I was rushing the mountain it must have taken a while to catch up with us!

I was genuinely shocked and stunned – like really made me jump !!shocked!! :shocking: but before I could react he was on a Super Mutant which, by now was no longer firing at me, but manically firing at him!!

Then there was this very brief but surreal moment where me and the remaining Super Mutants were all attacking the Death Claw – all fighting for our lives!!

Our combined efforts finally finished him off, and then we all turned on each other again with me only winning by having to resort to VATS (which I never normally use in NV) to finally do the job right.

A crazy time at Black Mountain that day I can tell you.
