Looks like we have an assassination faction and lotsa improved stuff. Also they def have a "Kit" so it looks like we will probably most definitely get a version of it for modding (yay!)
Also, no news on werewolves or vamps still :sadvaultboy:
Assassination's not a faction, just 'kill someone' missions. Anyone could give those, and as they're part of the Radiant Story system, that means they are almost certainly misc quests rather than faction ones (which Beth would, I assume, rather take control of.)
Character stuck in spiderwebs struck me too. Had not thought of it, but what would be the point of having giant spiders, otherwise ? You imagine, getting lost in a forest by night, having to shake off more and more strands, starting to run, herded in one way by various screeches up high... To end up caught. Gotta go and poke that arachnophobia-thread guy, tell him the devs wub him so.
Aaah, and we can hope for more environmental traps, if they're thinking of that, no ?
Screen shot is absolutely stunning, and the information is... informative. Great update, probably the best yet (although I loved the "Sounds of Skyrim" one).
For some reason, I'm getting a Tomb Raider vibe. Which is interesting as I've never played any Tomb Raider.
Looks amazing, though.
The screenshot is also in the magazine. None the less, at least we have one image we can share now, right? I get a shivering isles vibe from that tower. It looks similar in architecture and material to that tower in Passwall.
Lots of info though, I liked the additional cited examples about radiant stories and AI.
Just finished the first page. These updates are getting better and better and bigger and bigger! Looks like they recycled some info from the mag though. Good info though!

Sounds like the killing doesent have to start with joining a group like DB or MT. It would be kinda cool though if you got some mission to kill someone and the DB watched how you did things a few times and then dubbed you good enough to join then threw out an invite.
I am hoping that there will be dynamic mission giving to the point to where if someone doesent like me much they can try and send someone out to try and assassinate me.

Why go through the trouble of defining what makes an assassination quest if there wernt a lot of them in game? I see this as a serious hint of a return of an assassin's faction. Though we dont have any info on factions, I dont see how or why they would get rid of them. Maybe im just wishful thinking

I'm incredibly happy with the info given. Also, the picture looks like it has low AA and possibly lack of AAA in it so it seems like it is a console screen. Also another thing that seems to give it away that it's a console screen is the lack of shadow quality.

This would be fantastic. World reacting to your actions = good.

Well, it'd be hard to tell based on shadow quality unless you had comparison shots, and since a lot of people are for the moment assuming that the screens are from the 360, no way to tell how it'll measure one next to the other yet.
For the past six years or so, Bethesda's just kind of been scrapping it out using an outdated engine and sloppy middleware workarounds, but it seems like they've made their way back up to the top. The new engine tech seems really impressive! Here's to many Creation Engine games to come. :foodndrink:
It's funny, when Todd was referring to the game's editor as the "Creation Kit" I didn't once consider that was the literal name of the engine.

Indeed. It just means for me that once I am done with the faction's quests, I am not done going stabbity-stab, which was such a disappointment before.
... Random-generated quests means you basically never run out of quests, no ?
Plus they are given according to skills... An in-world acknowledgement. Or a way to get pissed when some bloke tap you on your black-clad shoulder and ask you to brew him a potion.
