What's the point of gold and fat loot and the like when the game really doesn't give you anything to spend it on?

Too bad you can't drop it and let the villagers scramble over it.

Do you own all the houses? Have you paid trainers to raise every skill to the cap? Have you got a stack of potions for every occasion?

I don't pay attention to it. I scavenge, I explore and I suddenly find 36000+ Septims in my inventory. I shrugged it off and kept doing what I did, but only picking high quality items in the future and spend more money on magical items to boost my Magicka.

Can't seem the point of owning every house, but I've gold enough gold to do that if I wanted to

paying trainers is just as bad as exploit-levelling in my book..

I have 200 grand and have no idea what to spend it on. Everything the shops can offer is inferior to my hand-made armor, weapons and potions. I open any random chest - I have couple thousands more in loot.

I'm waiting for a mod to make gold droppable in order to create Scrooge McDuck money vault.

Funny as a mage like all my money goes into spells almost. If you mean the end game, well of course you're rich...

Don't forget that a couple of dungeon runs at high level will give enough gear/loot to clean out most all vendors of their gold and still have gear left over.
