Pointless thread.

Besides, Skyrim is oriented towards Nordic scandinavian culture, not oriental one.

Batman and McGuyver are also awesome. But they should definitely not be in the game.

They are cool, and there are actually some similarities with us norseman, and the mongols. But personally i think scandinavian and celtic influence fits the game better.

As much as I love Mongol culture (well, more the Genghis Khan bit, I shan't lie) I think that their culture is more suited to inspiration for Elsweyr (in terms of tribal influences and cavalry emphasis).

Suppose you could argue that the terrain would be similar in many ways, but the Mongolian culture and the Scandinavian culture are way different, and Nords have always been depicted more Scandinavian than anything else. I don't really think there is much to argue there honestly.. I see you brought your guillotine though, so uhm... :bolt:

It's got nothing to do with that. Don't be pathetic. Are you trying to get banned? Because you just accused us all of being racist.

If Mongols were white and settled, they'd have been akin to the Kievan Rus—who don't seem to be a primary source of inspiration for TES Nords either.

Besides, the Orsimer already called dibs on the Mongols.

Mongols : being white :: this thread : having a point.

If mongols didn't had a totally eastern culture, maybe they'd fit in a western-based fantasy world.

It's like trying to mix bananas and onions. It's not racism, it's common sense.

Not that I can see at this point.

Certain cultures seem to have influenced certain races/areas in the Elder Scrolls. Other than that, there is no correlation to real world races/people.

So this can close before it gets out of hand.
