Monsters

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 7:30 pm

I immediately thought of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXwOI7YBFZc when I saw this topic :D

I don't really know what my favourite monster is, but I can't say I really know of many. When I was a kid I used to come up with all sorts of monsters, but I can barely remember them now. Cookie Monster is pretty awesome though. Heh, and my Dad's nickname for me is Monster :P

EDIT: I suppose anything with massive sharp teeth and huge claws appeals to me

Yay, FFAF! But hey, I find Lady GaGa scary too. Even more that Gillard.

How about... a Bonemonster?

Isn't that the same as a skellington? Slim chance, then. :P

I remember being scared of skeletons when I was younger after reading the first half of a ghost story featuring one. Ages later I read the second half where I learnt that the skeleton in question was actually quite a nice chap. Sigh.

Humans. Most made up monsters kill for food. Humans kill, torture, maim, and emotionally abuse other humans and species because they humans like it.

As for fictonal monsters, I find the Grover character off of Sesame Street to be silly and endearing.

That's the problem in the real world, you can't tell the monsters apart from the humans until it's too late

Zombies without a doubt. Also a fan of dragons (boring I know) and vampires (overdone...) :)

And zombies aren't overdone

Lets see, Dragons (both european and asian), Griffins, Hecatonchires, Cerberus, my most favorite though would have to be the Phoenix.

Oh, I'd never be able to pick a favorite. I've always liked monsters. Maybe I'd have gotten better grades if I doodled math on my papers all day in school instead of monsters.

They can be. 15 minutes per lb at gas mark 5 is about right, any more and they can come out a bit crunchy.

Favorite monster, huh..Well, http://images.wikia.com/silent/images/5/5a/Henry_vs._TwinVictims.jpg scared the living [censored] out of me when I played through Silent Hill 4.

Also, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XfHpo4Ogr0 enemy in Dead Space. The guys that made that game have some truly disturbed minds. I love it.

I like the Reavers from the Firfefly verse. Basically men/women turned into mindless, ravenous beasts by the government trying to add chemicals to make people better. Down with the man!

A centipede.

If we're talking fictional, a giant centipede.

Edit: I thought this was "most terrifying monster", not "most favourite".

I guess I like the wolfman. He seems like a funny guy.

Slenderman

I second this one. Somehow I had a brain fart and forgot about Cthulhu. There, that's better.

Don't want to ruin the thread so I won't talk about "Political Monsters". I would have to say my favorite monster is probably the Yatja *think that's it* The Predator. The xenomorph would be a close and not to distant second. As for an all time favorite monster if you want to classify him as that would be doomsday. Has no pitty, no remorse, no fear, and will slaughter anything and everything in his path. The scariest thing is that there really isn't anything that can truly kill him because he evolves after every time he gets hurt by something.

Yes. It's a monster. It's the best one in the world. Mainly because it destroys everything.

Zombies are my #1, but Dragons are a close second, with Megaladons(yeah, these are real, or were back in the day, though I'm personally convinced they are still around) being a fairly close third.

Let's see. Nyarlathotep. Pucas. Werewolves. Yog-Sothoth. People. Deep Ones. In that order.
