Has there ever been a monthly fee for an FPS?

They wouldn't get any 360 players if it had a monthly fee as we already pay for live, and if they don't on one, they won't on any so I think we're safe from monthly fees. Plus, it's an FPS not an RPG.

Bethesda hasn't said anything about a monthly fee. I highly doubt there will be one. 99.9% sure. If there is one, I will not buy this game.

No, we are already paying for the game, and potentially for any later DLC... if they want to become power hungry money hoarders like Activision then thats their decision but count me out. The whole reason i have a PS3 is because i refuse to pay for live

I totally agree, because I already pay for Live, And whatever add-ons are for my games.
And that will really really svck if you had to pay for a fee!

if there was a monthly fee at least make it a 10 dollar game. its bad enough paying for live and the game itself without extra fees

Any game that forces you to pay $60 for the game, $7 a month for Xbox live, and then an extra payment to play the game is bound to fail. Activision was looking into and then they decided that the extra $5 wasn't worth the loss of millions of customers. I guess the response from the email they sent me actually made a difference =P I still think this whole charging people to play a game online if they rent it is BS.

I know I wouldn't pay for it. I don't pay for PSN or Steam, so why would I for this...

The whole reason i have a PS3 is because i refuse to pay for live.

That's why any game with a monthly fee will not do well on PSN. Also, that's why I love PSN.
