I'm playing my character as a Wood Elf with steadfast "good" morals. He has only one single murder on his record, which is that of Thonar Silver-Blood, but that only for the protection and integrity of Markarth. When forced with Molag Bal's orders to kill Logrolf, he complied - as he saw killing him better than simply leaving him chained there to rot, however - using a black soul gem (Yes, they're considered wrong as well - but the lesser of two evils here) to prevent his soul from being captured by Molag Bal. Even though he managed to get one over a Daedra, he still felt tarnished, by that, the killing of the leader of the Forsworn, and while he was evil - the murder of Thonar. So, he walked barefoot up and down the steps of High Hrothgar, and then distroyed Thonar's ring, the Weapon used to kill Logrolf (with his soul attached), and Molag's Mace. He also swore not to be a pawn in the games of the Daedra again...
Thus I'm brought to the dilemma of killing Sinding - yes, he killed the girl, but he was under the influence of the cursed ring, and he seemed to regret it... but at the same time, he may have been lying aout the ring making him more unpredictable... and he may still just be as dangerous and deserves to die. But at the same time it was at the request of a Daedra that I have to kill him... and as I said - I refuse to be pieces in this vast, demonic game that they play with us mortals. So... it begs the question - what do I do? Do I be merciful, and let him live? Or do I kill him in payment of his deeds? Which would you say is more moral, and which, from a RP perspective, fits with my character?
