More Arenas ?

Post » Tue Mar 29, 2011 7:22 pm

There should be 1 minor arena for 4 of the major cities and one major one in the capital city that you can only reach after going through one of the others.

perfect..you 5 or 6 lower class fights in the smallest major city then go to the next one fighting 5 or 6 warriors with slightly better stats and weapons and so on until you reach the grand champion where you must face a guantlet of enemies and then the grandchampion..perfect

I don't think there would need to be more than one if they did the only arena right.

No, I think one arena was fine back in Oblivion so I say one arena for Skyrim.
But the questline needs to be a lot longer.

What if your already a Grand champion in one Arena you will only fight monsters once a Week
And then you join an another Arena To fight other Warriors And be the Grand Champion in that Arena
because i think your gonna get tired fighting monsters and then you keep waiting a week to fight a Monster
And each Arena have a different Raiment,. in Oblivion Kvatch there was also an Arena But the city got Destroyed by those Daedra's i know it from lore here is a link to kvatch before attack and you can see the Arena
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:Kvatch_FGIllustration.jpg
and if it didn't get Attacked we would have two arena's in Oblivion

but i think two of them is enough and it's just an idea not that i really want it

Arena was lame, rather have multiple ′assassins Guilds

If you read Skyrim lore, its stated that their are multiple local arenas across the province Called Pits, and one main Arena in a city who's name I can't recall atm.

I don't see the problem. maybe you'd have to fight in all the minor Arena's or give a really good fight to participate in the main one. and if Arena's aren't your thing..then they aren't your thing.

I'd like it if the arena quest required you visit little tiny arenas in each city and then go to one big arena for the final tournament.

I like the idea of expanding this quest line. You could work your way up the ranks as suggested, starting within a small circuit and culminating in a big coliseum. But I'd like to see something to make each one unique other than just a different setting. Different trainers could teach new skills at each location. Side quests to go with each location much the same way you travel to different guild locations to acquire quests. Each location could specialize in battle type (i.e. sword and shield, magic use... even something stealth-based with places to hide-and-seek). There's probably a ton of things that could be done to flesh this out more. Heck, be a prisoner and fight for your life... and your freedom!

I'd like a couple of different arenas, but not just generic arenas. arenas that do different things. So you could have a hand to hand combat arena and then a weapons arena. Say have 4 arenas and 1 larger one, to unlock the larger one you need to qualify in two of the lower arenas, each needing you to win 6 matches. Also they could make it so that the only arena with death matches is the main arena and just make the main arena itself about 10 (9 tournament, 1 vs grand champion) matches long (meaning at minimum you'd have to win 22 matches, 10 death matches). alternatively could be done as just separate tournaments, the side arenas or tournaments could then be called qualification tournaments and you shouldn't be called champion of those arena's, after all, the requirement to be a champion of two of the smaller arenas or tournaments would mean you only ever have 2 people at most in the main arena... rather if many people go through qualification tournaments, it makes a bit more sense. Also if it toke you in oblivion 18 fights to get to champion, then the yellow team champion also needed 18, she'd have to have killed 3 people who had killed 15 other people, and those 3 each would have had to have each killed 3 people that had killed another 12... by the end you are talking literally hundreds and hundreds of people that most have died, perhaps even thousands... for a city that had how many people living in it...

Like the enhanced hand-to-hand power attacks in Fallout: New Vegas? I wouldn't mind having a large amount of combat styles from all over Skyrim and you can mix and match the different moves your most fond of. Of course, It would have to be for more than just hand-to-hand...

Arena World Tournament Style
First you need to Qualify in the Smaller Arena's the Town Arena's to be the first place in the List
to be the first you need Beat Combatants ,And the Qualification is one month long (Gametime)
and you can see the list on which place you are you can also see who's Killed and who is still Alive and which place he or she is
There is going to be 50 Survivors to get to next Round

Round 1 is A Team Battle still in A Town Arena not main arena
There is gonna be 5 teams with 10 Combatants
and only 19 Combatants are going to be on the next round + you is 20 Combatants so Two Teams of 10

Main Arena Doubles
There is going to be 10 Teams of 2 Combatants
5 Teams will get to Next Round Only 10 Combatants left

Main Arena Finals
This round is 1 vs 1 matches
There is going to be a Ladder of which Combatant you are going to fight and which Combatant Going to fight Eachother There is also a Time when you need to fight so if your to Late you are Disqualified and Can't get the Rank of Grand Champion for along time until a Next World Tournament is Organised and that takes 1 or 2 years (Gametime)

Sample Ladder
Npc Combatant vs Npc combatant - You vs Npc Combatant - Npc combatant vs Npc Combatant - Npc combatant vs Npc combatant-Npc Combatant vs Npc Combatant

Npc Combatant vs You - Npc Combatant vs Npc combatant -Npc combatant vs A Monster

There is now 3 Combatants left and you need to wait Because 2 Combatants are going to fight Eachother
Npc Combatant vs Npc Combatant
And you fight Against the Winner of the match

What do you think about that ?

No, I think 1 Arena was enough. Besides, Now we have Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion (if you swing that way), and soon, Skyrim!

Yeah, it would be counter-productive to make another one of that.

Yep.

One run by a Nord faction: a well-built battle arena with a proud tradition of honourable battle, martial challenge and clean, honest -- if brutal -- bloodshed. Melee only.

The other run by dark elves: a seedy, run-down caged pit in the uncivilised wild, where slaves, captives, and foolhardy warriors battle captured monsters -- and each other -- to the death. Anything goes.

PCs can bet or participate.

Anyone who answers "yes" to question #2 is a liar. We know nothing about arenas in this game.

Anyways, I would like for there to be more than one arena yes, as long as they're different types. There should be maybe 1 or 2 "underground", or "unofficial" arenas around. And then there should be an actual full scale arena in one of the cities.

Spent hundreds of hours in OB, never once went in the arena. In Skyrim, I'm the last of my kind bent on stopping a dragon apocalypse, I ain't got time to put on a show for the crowds in some gladiatorial amphitheatre.

Just wondering, will you do anything besides the main quest? I mean the beauty of an open world RPG is you don't have to even do the main quest.

With that logic why should you do any other sidequest lets just keep the MQ.

I don't know if there even going to be one.
I think one is enough, but there could be another one, developing, with a quest to finish construction, find fighters, manage teams and so on...
