There was no mention of an Arena anywhere.

And why would you want more than one anyway?

No, I think 1 Arena was enough. Besides, Now we have Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion (if you swing that way), and soon, Skyrim!

I'd like it if the arena quest required you visit little tiny arenas in each city and then go to one big arena for the final tournament.

What if your already a Grand champion in one Arena you will only fight monsters once a Week
And then you join an another Arena To fight other Warriors And be the Grand Champion in that Arena
because i think your gonna get tired fighting monsters and then you keep waiting a week to fight a Monster
And each Arena have a different Raiment,. in Oblivion Kvatch there was also an Arena But the city got Destroyed by those Daedra's i know it from lore here is a link to kvatch before attack and you can see the Arena
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:Kvatch_FGIllustration.jpg
and if it didn't get Attacked we would have two arena's in Oblivion

but i think two of them is enough and it's just an idea not that i really want it

Er...because there's nothing else to do in the game to pass the time between weekly arena bouts, since there's not an entire world outside the arena?

And if there were 40 arenas, you'd eventually be Grand Champion of them all and get tired of waiting a week for each to reset so you can fight monsters...so, I'm not sure I see the point here unless you want the game to be nothing but arenas so you never get bored waiting a week to fight monsters, and always have a new arena to join and fight other warriors.

There should be 1 minor arena for 4 of the major cities and one major one in the capital city that you can only reach after going through one of the others.

It would be better to be able to choose what side of the Arena to be on. It's like having 2 Arenas without having to waste extra space in the world.

More complaining over none issues I see :sigh:

How about instead of more than one Arena (I believe there will be at least one in Skyrim) you have a number of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloodsport_(film)-like underground fighting clubs that you could join and make some money in (not as much as you can make in the official arena, and you don't get any fame for competing in it like you do in the Arena).

It would be cool to see smaller arenas which would have lower stakes and less impressive warriors. An arena in a crummy little town should feature local hotshots taking on slaves or convicts while the capital or larger city should boast professionals fighting rare beasties.

but you get money for waiting a Week and fighting monsters in the Arena ofcourse i will fight also somewhere else to fight monsters
And i won't get bored of it but i think some peoples will get Bored and wants to fight against more Warriors in the Arena

It would be cool if they went back to their roots, and made something along the lines of the original idea for Elder Scrolls: I Arena.

Initially, Arena was not to be an RPG at all. The player, and a team of his fighters, would travel about a world fighting other teams in their arenas, until the player became "grand champion" in the world's capital, the Imperial City. Along the way, side quests of a more role-playing nature could be completed. As the process of development progressed, however, the tournaments became less important, and the side quests moreso. RPG elements were added to the game, as the game expanded to include the cities outside the arenas, and dungeons beyond the cities. Eventually, it was decided to drop the idea of tournaments altogether, and focus on quests and dungeons, on making the game a "full-blown RPG". The original concept of arena-combat had never made it to the coding stage, and so few artifacts from that era of development remain: the game's title, and a text file with the names of fighting teams from every large city in Tamriel, and a brief introduction for them. The concept of traveling teams was eventually left aside as well, because the team's decision to produce a first-person RPG had made the system somewhat less fun.[5]

Of course i'm not saying Skyrim should be like Arena's original idea, but just add a guild that would be like a small scale arena concept.

It all depends on how large the towns are. In a "city" with only +-20 buildings, an arena would feel out of place.
But a country with an "arena culture" should have an arena even in smaller cities and even traveling arenas in more remote area's.

Wasn't really a fan of the Arena thingy in Oblivion though.
Unless they have some brilliant idea with it they can leave it out all together for all I care. Dunno if Skyrim is really the place for that sort of decadence, unlike Cyrodiil.

No, I think one is enough--if there will be one at all.

The only thing I'd like to see with another arena is an improved betting system. I'd like to see more flexibility in the amount allowance, such as being able to fine-tune how much you would like to bet, instead of having to choose from several predetermined options.

^this. also there should be fighter names and odds. If a fighter has been winning a lot of fights his odds go up, and if he loses... well then i guess he dies.

Maybe... I would prefer to have only one arena but with more depth. If there's more than one arena, then each of them should be significantly different (a 1vs1 arena, a 2vs2 arena, an illegal arena, etc.)

What about console cheats, and mods. these would greatly unbalance this system. Would it only be on Xbox 360 or PS3? I wouldn't mind, I play 360.

maybe something that takes into account your attributes, skills, weapons, armor, spell, health, magicka, and fatigue, not just the level.

I want dozens of arenas:D. I would like it if you see more and very different arenas in Skyrim. There could be a Arena just for mages or one where you could battle with a team against another(If they improve the combat behavior). Cool would also be if there are more than two teams fighting maybe five groups of 3 mates. Or a arena that doesn't have this lame empty circle but some rocks in it or maybe holes and fire so the fight becomes more interesting.

it could be for all 3 consoles Pc,Xbox 360 and Ps3 ,Pc Gamers need to play the Original game no mods and Cheats are Blocked when they get into the arena Xbox 360 and Ps3 Going to be fair and cheats are also needed to be Blocked for that Version

Yeah, good luck getting them to do that. But, yeah, your right, it's the only way it'd work.
