No More DLC for Skyrim #4

Post » Mon Apr 15, 2013 10:36 pm

But you still have to take into consideration THAT HE DOESN'T DECIDE IF THEY STOP MAKING DLCS OR NOT, THAT'S PRIMARILY THE HEADS OF THE COMPANY the idea to stop making dlcs could've literally been decided last week or today.

The fact that all these people are here shows its misleading. If it wasn't, there wouldn't be these many disgruntled fans. PERIOD.

This makes me sad. :(

Then again, I've managed a year and a half without downloading any DLCs...

I'm finally getting Dragonborn on Wednesday. :P

no. I want a TES VI: Alinor where we can crush the dominion for good. I would sacrifice my kittens for it.

Would you spend a night with a chaurus, two falmer, a centurion and MOLAG BAL though?

Neither am I. It's called hope for a game you love. I'd love to tell you what I really think of you, but I don't want to get banned. Fill in the blanks.

We feel your pain CKB, it's understandable. Crap happens and I agree it feels unfinished in regards to DLC, but this isn't a bad place to "end" the game. It's not good either because of the shifty communication from Hines and Howard and there could have been more DLC, but this end is suffice.

You want real disappointment, try being a Battlefront 1 and 2 fan and keep hearing all the new stuff about Battlefront 3 and how close it was.

The fact that all these people are here shows its misleading. If it wasn't, there wouldn't be these many disgruntled fans. PERIOD.

Now you're starting to feel what PS3 players felt last year for about 8 months. Welcome to the club. At least you won't be strung along with uncertainty, because it's all for certain now.

Honestly, times like these make me want to go back through posts from people defending Bethesda and Hines and their misleading ways who are now agreeing that they are a bunch of misleading ............ people.

Bethesda isn't Paradox.

Is that all you've got? Because honestly, I can't really offer up much in response beyond, so what?

Bethesda isn't Paradox.

People still play Skyrim and a final expansion would still turn in a profit. The whole lifecyle thing is [censored].

Next game will surely be Summerset Isle, probably why they left the aldmeri dominion unifinished.
If I get to kill thalmor in TES VI, then I will forgive this day. I will hate this day until TES VI is out.

Meaning they don't do the same thing as that company, meaning they aren't obligated to continue making dlcs for a game three years later.

Dragonborn is the final expansion.

You're right. If it wasn't for the crappy communication, I'd be content.

Except that they do indeed do the same thing.

They both develop games.

That doesn't mean they have to follow the same business strategies.

Well, here's hoping that they learn from their horrible mistakes with Skyrim, and they make the next game much better. AND here's hoping Skyrim was just took hook in more people to start playing it and they will make the next game deeper and have better stories and what not.

And?

The poster I responded to implied that the date was of importance as to whether a DLC would be or not to be.

So I point out one example (there are others) of devs supporting their games with content long after release, and if I might add, without affecting release schedule of other games.

I'd also like to point out that Skyrim more than likely sold as well, if not better than the combined catalogue of their most recent franchises (Vicky 2, CK2, EU3, HOI 3).

So only Bethesda's precedents count? Okay. They told us when they were done without leaving us in the dark in all their other games besides this one. That's why this was bad PR.

Skyrim definitely increased the fanbase by a butt load. When the next TES is announced (years from now) people will be going even more crazy over it then they did Skyrim. The thing that I loved about the hype train for Skyrim, is that in the end the game was actually successful when everyone got down to playing it. I hope for that same feeling for TES VI. Well, I guess you didn't enjoy Skyrim as much...
