I've gone for very gory, but i don't want EXTREME gore, I want realism, like if you hit someone round the head with a Mace or Warhammer, there head could possibly...show scarring at least, instead of oblivion when you'd see a small ammout of blood on the ground from something that would actually cause the face to implode..

I say that if i slice my final blow at a man's arm, then it should come off as he dies. Same goes for any other limb. However, don't go over-board with it.

I hope they make a mix of something like Dragon Age and Fallout, so if you get hit or are too close to someone who gets hit blood splatters onto your character and the ground, plus some decapitations/dismemberment.

More gore than Oblivion I think but keep the dismemberment to a minimum. I'm not adverse to the odd decapitation or the odd arm being lopped off but I think if every battle ended in guts and a big mess spread all over the place that would be too much.

I want gore to encompass the undead so that if I cut off their legs they keep dragging themselves toward me till a decap or to much overall damage.

I voted no (none at all); but that's slightly less than I'd mean. Its a high fantasy epic... Gore implies the working internals of fantasy creatures, which tends to strip them of any "magical" aspect or perception, and imposes a rigidly defined anatomy. I would think this detrimental in the long term to the atmosphere. Blood yes, but entrails as anything but an occasional prop for spell casters seems out of place to me.

**edit: minor limb severing would be fine by me, providing it was not too common an occurrence.

Interesting note, i wouldnt say no as far as it concern the zombies, but i dont like Elder scrolls to be Evil dead 4, or something from the movies of romero either, lol!!

I would not want Fallout gore. If they added a little bit more blood that would be fine but I'd prefer them to keep dismemberment to a minimum but would rather them not include it.

Since the undead was mentioned (and I somehow forgot about them when I posted before). Zombies might be really cool to cut apart. Imagine if one zombie split into separate zombie parts that kept coming, and the parts even wandering their separate ways. Consider a script that spawns on injury a Zomblet chunk, like a hand, or bipedal hips that kick

I am reminded of the undead in Postal 2's expansion where the bodies kept it up indefinitely until the head was gibbed. (Note: that was a flaw too... as the head could be lost, and the body made invulnerable).

Well, if Skyrim is going to get slapped with an "M for Mature" rating like Oblivion eventually did, I'd like the game to have actually earned it this time around, not get simply get caught in the fallout (no pun intended) from another Hot Coffee incident. Otherwise, in spite of how much killing I do, I don't exactly play Elder Scrolls to live out a fantasy of being Jason Voorhees that I may or may not have.

Yea zombies have many gory options that can be developed, lol, but i really dont like to be extreme, just to take off its leg, or its arm, it would be nice just like that... or maybe cut it in half also?!!! lol!!

I voted for "Just a little bit to add more realism in the game". I want more sure, but not Fallout-like gore.

No.. not too much gore. Perhaps a little more than in Oblivion, but it has to be done professionally (Fallout 3 wasn't done good concerning gore I think, suddenly the whole body splashed). A little more blood. Decapitations is something I'm still unsure of...
Still, some blood patterns in the snow could be cool. Very scary also, if in the right setting.

Anyway I think I'll just trust myself in what Bethesda decides, and hope that is the best choice.

Personally I want it to be more realistic than Oblivion, but not to the extent of decapitations and/or dismemberment.

With undead? HELL YES!

All I'm going to say is when you hit someone with a sword, or axe there tends to be a lot of blood. A lot.

I'm pretty indifferent on gore. I mean Dragon Age Origins had a ton of gore but it was almost laughable how you could get into this fight and be absolutely covered in blood only to walk away and have a casual conversation with a villager who was in no way freaked out that you were painted red.

Thats what comes next, but if i m a werewolf and i m attacking an orc dont expect the orc to die instantly, maybe there will be a bloody fight between them until the end
