I was going for a generalization of the gore part, seeing as alot of games (many on console) have sum high level of gore and are easily acessed by the younger crowd. for example: Left 4 Dead and the newer Call of Dutys.

As for the nudity, I was in no way suggesting it should be a major or prominent part of the game experience, but something as part of the whole. I think its safe to say that I was in no way suggesting that something like "orgies" should be present, however. I guess I was thinking of something similar to how the God of War series handled it or possibly even GTA. Yes, those are console games, but I think it goes to show what things are acceptible in todays society.

Alright, lets see. I'm pretty much desensitized to gore and boobs. That being said, I would prefer not to see nudity in the game, and overly bloody games just make me roll my eyes and go "Come on, really?"

If nudity for some reason HAS to be in the game, I would prefer it to be tasteful, with realistically proportioned females. (I really can't fathom why people are attracted to grotesquely huge boobs. On top of being repulsive, I hate it when a well written character comes off as being a walking pair of boobs with a face and legs.)

Armor should be functional. No chaimnail bikinis. (Seriously, especially in a place like Skyrim.) There is no reason why a beautiful girl can't look good in a full set of battle armor.

Back on blood, I prefer a realistic amount. Once again, it should be tasteful, since the elderscrolls games have never been about splashing people's guts all over the walls and dragging them by their entrails through town. If I hit a guy with a sword, they are going to bleed. If I decapitate someone, its going to leave a mess. But anything like exploding limbs is just cheesy and just doesn't appeal to me.

Thats where I stand. And if I see any more threads like this, I'm just going to copy and paste.

Children shouldn't even be playing mature rated games, hence the title. But, that's for the gaurdians to decide. So, not putting nudity and violence in the game, for the fear of children being exposed should be nonexistent. I'm all for nudity in a game if it can be handled realistically, such as RDR, not like God of war 3. Also, I am fine with violence, again, if it is handled realistically, unlike Fallout 3. I would love to see them both in Skyrim.

The problem I have with the clothing and nvde mods is that they all use a different UV map for thier texture. So many of the clothing mods are incompatible with other nvde models.

I will admit to being a complete male chauvinist pig if you admit that your comment on a tasteful amount of blood is the st@#*%est...sorry...silliest thing we both have ever heard , I cant belive people play a game where death is handed out every few minutes yet they talk about the social ramifications of boobs in an advlt game, our society as a whole is so friggin a#@ backwards lol

I'm not expecting you to admit to anything. Still, I do not find my comment on a tasteful amount of blood to be bull. But yeah, I always noticed that about our culture. They say it perfectly in the Ninja episode of south park where at the end Cartmen is walking naked up on the auction stage while Butters walks up with a Ninja star in his eye. And the people are way more appalled by the fact that Cartmen is naked than they do with Butters bleeding half to death.

I just think its childish (Thats right, childish) to do exagerated amounts of gore in what could be maturely and realistically handled.

I think a more edgy Beowulf attitude would be pretty sweet, some boobs and gore.

Realistic wounds, and decapitation on finishing moves would be nice, nothing along the lines of Fallout.
I don't want flat out nudity, scantily clad Nordic bartenders would be nice, and sixual themes.

The same could be said to how other mature themes, like six and drugs, could be handled. But as stated eariler, themes like those are the taboo, while shooting someone in a simulted combat situation, and feeling proud of that fact, is acceptible

I just think that nudity doesn't need to be in the game. Like I said, if I want to see nudity I would retreat back to my real life or turn the channel to Cinemax. I just don't think they should add in a feature to the game that they could have spent putting their efforts elsewhere especially when pixelated nudity doesn't make me enjoy the game more and as I have said, would alienate those in our gaming community that are say, under-aged or are offended by nudity in-game or even in real life ( :shifty: ). Besides everyone that says that "Well it is already going to be Mature rating" well there is a rating above mature and that rating requires people to be 21 and Bethesda is definitely not going to do that seeing as that shuts out a huge portion of the gaming community and results in low sales of the game. Not to mention with that rating, most major stores won't carry it.

Alright, let me put it this way.

Blood is alright if handled realistically. Blood for the sake of blood is in my oppinion immature. Same with nudity. I'm okay with nudity if its in there (Hell, daggerfall had it and it was handled realistically), but I'm not cool with nudity just for the sake of boobs. That make sense?

Wouldn't a game only get AO rating if it has porm were it shows everything n extreme volence?

I have to say, that as a gamer from an early age, an M rated game did not turn me off to play off, in fact it even made me want to play it more. Just look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Thats an M rated game, and many, many "under-age" people play it.

The only people who are typcally "offended and alienated" are advlts who either have rather outdated views on such matters or actualy look into the contents of a game before they let their children play.

Which, sad to say, I doubt many parents honestly do. In fact, Im sure most of todays parents buy the game for themselves, and knowing the content, let young kids play them aswell.

This! I mean if it is some Daedric cult worshipping Azura and they are naked in this ritual its fine but having nudity everyone, just leave that to the modders and I won't be downloading those mods, nudity for nudity's sake is just odd.
