This one goes off-topic, but I have to say I got good laughs from that one. It's so hard to even imagine that the controls of the originals might that hard to figure out after so many years of intensive playing of them.

Just cause there is senseless carnage, six, drug use and profanity does not mean that the series don't have any self-respect.
You want "lulz" then play Borderlands, Saints Row and Postal, I've played all three and recommend them both for their "who gives a [censored]" humor and their gameplay.
But Fallout is not that and should not be changed into that either.
It'd be like asking for COD to change into Team Fortress. (Which I have not played but from the looks of it it has a lot of humor in it.)

[edit]
Didn't like the above part so let me try it a different approach.
Take two:
While Fallout has a lot of ridiculous things like robots with brains in them, a man with a tree growing out of his head, and big green ogres that scratch their ass and sniff their fingers afterwards the difference is that it's taking itself seriously.
Like, all of it is of course completely ridiculous, but the series has a dark undertone to it and works these ridiculous things so that they aren't "as" ridiculous as they appear to be at first glance.
Including the humor you stated on the other hand will cheapen the dark undertone and just make the series seem schizophrenic, one time it's dark with raiders stringing up humans in chains and cutting off their limbs while having six with their carcasses and the next it's Family Guy humor all over the place.
It stops being consistent.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but are you trying to use the Fallout series as a comparison to real-life morality? If so, let's please not go there....

Real life morality?

I ask, because that's the perception I am recieving from your edited post. Unfortunately I can't detect voice tone, body language or other non-verbals through this forum of communication. I'm that one guy who doesn't always agree that 'perception is reality'......

Still don't see where real life morality comes in the picture with my [edit].
I stated that Fallout is meant to be a dark series with dry, dark, subtle humor here and there.
And that it would turn the series into a joke if it changes from Oz to Family Guy every 10 minutes.

I have to agree it would cripple fallout faster than Christopher reeves riding in the grand national.

Cool insight to the original Fallout - even though the game has 'dated' graphics, it still looks fun either way! The guy on there said something about it being on the original X-Box? If so, I may wanna see if I can dig up a copy on Half.com or E-Bay.....although I'm getting the impression that the series doesn't stray far from its original formula, no different than God of War, or Halo series.....I recognized alot of similar things to what I've seen in Fallout 3 and in New Vegas.

Fallout 1 & 2 will play on any PC built in the last 15 years. It's specs call for a Pentium 90MHz with 16 MB ram [Sixteen Megabyte!]
*32MB for the DOS version.

Fallout has just one kind of humor, a kind of humor that no other games cant do or cant handle very well since the 90, dark, dry, snarky, somewhat silly, not acid (thankfully)

I am a long time fan of the idea of making exploding cigars/cigarettes and animals. I wish we had the ability to make bombs out of Teddy Bears, Suitcases, briefcases and mail boxes. Bombs we can take into casinos and activate without freaking everyone out. Just place the teddy bear on the table and walk away.

As for exploding cigars and cigarettes. It would only work if we can smoke in the game. I don't get why smoking is not allowed in Fallout or why drugs no longer have real downsides like they did in the originals. Anyways I would love to put a cigar bomb or cigarette in a person invantory. Watch them light a smoke and BOOM!

Putting explosives on Dogs, Brahmin or even slaves and sending them into an enemy strong point would be awesome :chaos:

I want the humor in fallout to be advlt and dark or both. Not that I don't enjoy good old slapstick. If groin shots come back to Fallout

Those are some really good ideas, actually! :D The teddy bear bomb especially!

Yeah, I don't understand the logic behind allowing one kind of 'vice' but yet not any other kind.....I guess Bethesda/Obsidian doesn't want to deal with the static from all these anti-smoking groups out there, if they were to allow your character to smoke.

@pariah599
What you described on your first post would be hilarious, unfortunately it wouldn't suit the fallout 1,2,and NV universe...what I would love to see is the ability to set up booby traps of all kinds.....the anticipation would be almost unbearable and the result could at times be hilarious!!
