the Resistance graffiti is interesting, SD said they wanted to tell the story through the environment and "The Flood is a Lie" and "There is land out there" really makes me wonder... but i mean its graffiti that the resistance made to help promote their ideas, but interesting none the less

The conflict isn't about right and wrong, but a juxtapostion of ideas, both factions feel they 're fighting for the common good, but not realizing they're being controlled by a "Leader" who has an agenda that may or may not be in everyone's best interest , just like today with the "War on Terror"

Security has Mr. Big REMF, and Resitance has their Spiritual Leader ( Commander)
but that's all politics and government, and personally I don't trust them

Picture 4 and 5 illustrate quite nice how versatile the SMART system is. But I guess especially #4 is only available to Light bodytypes.

Picture 8 (de_dust) tells me that Splash Damage really aim for even matches already by the structure of the map.

i guess the "dust" inventor is on the SD level design team, which is more than a decent lvl designer. bloody looking forward to play the maps.
plus i greatly dig the art style on the graffitis. i heard a lot about putting effort in the details but the graffiti art is off the hook guys!

Decent is an understatement. De_Dust is one of the best small maps I've ever seen. It's overplayed though, but it is amazingly popular, even up to this day.

That's probably because it is just about perfectly balanced. However, it is also simple and thus not able to cover the missions BRINK wants to offer to players. But it would be quite awesome if they could get the spirit of that map into BRINK's maps as well.

We recently got extended to ship in spring 2011, and we could actually have made it for this Christmas – totally could have. The reason why we got the extra time was because Bethesda was awesome; they gave us the time to do balancing. We could have got it out but it wouldn’t have been balanced. We wouldn’t have months and months to spend time just tweaking, you know: the speeds the different body types can run and the heights that people can and can’t climb and what depth of field should that downfire have [you have limited depth of field when down, because you’re hurt]. Basically we have half a year of just tweaking, balancing and tuning.
So half a year from December would be about May...

Having mixed feelings about this, although I know it will be better in the long run with less balance patches and such, I was hoping for Brink by March for some reason.

The quote doesn't actually say "6 months from December". It gives the impression that they were originally planning on releasing it before Christmas, and could have extended that until just before Xmas, but that wouldn't have been balanced, so they extended it past Christmas for "months". Its all worded very vaguely.

Either way, the fact that SD isn't giving a date means that they aren't sure when it will be ready for a release, but it also means that they aren't planning on waiting till Beth's deadline, or else they would just say that the deadline was the release date.
