I've got EIAE installed--have had, for some time, though I've yet to begin the quests. Should I assume the mannequins are only associated with a house you get in the quest? Because I've never seen what you describe in a store, and I'm looking to buy them. Naked or not, doesn't matter: I've got tons of armor and weapons to pose.
Yeah, I kinda side-stepped your original question (I was so excited about the new 'Spiritus' mod) but you're right, the mannequins are designed to look not-so-human.
I figure there are green ones (marble) and then vaguely flesh-toned ones (wood) that look more human.
They are, after all. They're just NPCs that have been frozen, right? When I stand directly in front of them dead-still, and take my hands off the mouse, I can see them move - they still move a little bit, almost imperceptible...
Anyway I was startled by my mannequins after the new mod installation - they still looked like my mannequins, but totally naked (and anatomically correct). :hehe:
A close inspection of the female torso reveals sort of a breakup of the mottley mannequin texture, but it's still kinda there, still looks like a mannequin.
And very close, from the side there is a distinct skin-like texture that wasn't there before, subtly touched like where each hair follicle would be on a real human.
Actually heheh, now that you mention it it's probably worse for the mannequins than it was before. More life-like stuff that we don't want mannequins to have. :shakehead:
But it's small price to pay for the fantastic job on my NPCs, both genders, it's brilliant. No seams anywhere, it actually fixed some problems for me.
Important: I like being able to be naked now, and guys I'm born 1957 now keep it under yer hats, trust me if you're role-playing Oblivion you need to be naked to sleep, go to the doctor, bathe, sleep with women, etc. I have a kewl wives mod too (and have several
) and anyway I've seen real women without their clothes on. Tee hee hee.
I've had an excellent Female Topless mod since ~2007 but this, this new Spiritus mod is a piece of work, it's art.
When you go to the nexus website you must specify the larger Spiritus package containing the additional meshes and textures.
I'm running the guy's main mod late, and bashed patch last, everything nice so far.
He has a perfectly nice quest-mod there that should not need to be behind 'enter your birthdate' anyway...
But I guess you can't have little kids playing the game 'immodestly' as Tolkein would say.
Fantastic mod though, whichever flavour you favour.
We've gotta start a Beth forum thread for this mod, I can't find one...
What's up with the search thing, why is it so disagreeable? It rejects 'Et in Arkay Ego'.
