More manual, interactive combat.

I'd like to suggest a mod in the anything is possible world of morrowind modding.

Remember all those request of either being able to block in morrowind or not miss your attacks? It's really stupid in my opinion since it makes agility useless, and blocking, looking at blocking enhanced is way overpowered since it lets you block every one of your ennemies attack.

I'd like to see a mod where you could control your defensive options. So when combat starts you have more to do than just click left mouse.

Basically, whenever youre not pressing right mouse button, your agility is theoretically zero and ennemies hit you every time, when you are pressing it you are given a chance to dodge attacks based on your normal agility.

OR

Whenever your pressing your right mouse, you give yourself a shield that's based on your agility, and when I say shield I actually mean something like a shield spell that mitigates a percentage of the damage done when enemies are attacking you and the amount mitigated is based on your ability.

It wouldn't be a huge chance to the game, but it could be one of those little things that'll make the game a little more interactive.

Sorry, posting in a hurry whilst putting 2 kids in the bath lead me to assume you were asking something else. Adul's Advanced Combat may have some options for you as it has various modes you can enter that shift things around to suit the mode, ie dodge mode gives a sanctuary bonus , blocking mode ups your block etc. Each mode also has a negative effect to counter act the bonus.

Maybe that'll help.

I tried it and I didn't work. I love the idea though, you know if there's any other mod like that, outside of combat enhanced since I dont have expansions and I don't like the idea of combos.

Fliggerty is/was working on a mod called Better Battles, which would be a great overhaul to the combat. I'm still hoping that it sees a release some day. It's definitely one of Fligg's most ambitious projects next to Census & Excise I'd say.
