More Mounts Variation and Flying

Post » Fri Mar 21, 2014 10:36 pm

Not really. There's not a large amount of shape-shifting present in TES, if any. Additionally, the dragons are basically extinct in the time period of ESO. There's going to be no dragons, and likely very little shapeshifting (especially into a form that can fly).

Really, the only mounts that could be feasibly used are horses. Guar, silt striders, and Senche tigers could pass as mounts, but they're not anywhere near as prevalent or useful as a horse. Guar are used more often as pack animals, silt striders are really limited and actually somewhat slow, and Senche tigers should only be used by Khajiit.

I agree with this, each race to have a special drop as a mount... unique... But pegasus, I am saying again, its not for elfs, reptiles, nords, kajit and orcs.. But you could make each alliance to have a unique and rare mount. Pigasos is a flying mount, so if the game ever gets flying mounts, DC is the most appropriate race for it... The others could have shapesifting and dragonoids.

Flying mounts could be nice, after many expansions and if they decide to move further from the island we playing right now... In a distant lands and without teleporting stones.

A variation of horses is enough.

I'd probably rage quit if they added lame flying mounts.

Forgot to mention, but there are variations of horses in the game. You can buy a standard horse, a light horse, a draft horse, or a pack horse, if I remember right. Granted the only differences I can recall were colors and starting stats, the latter of which you can make up over time with any of the horse types. However, there are different variations present.

I support the idea of flying mounts, but the way the game is right now, its not suitable... Not even a taxi service is suitable, because they have so many teleporting stones... Only if they remove them, or give us an expansion without em. (an evil guy eat them... or something)

*imagines*

I've been playing since before vanilla! Get off my lawn, whippersnappers! This game was ruined by the last expansion! Stop catering to casuals!

Wait, where was I? Oh yeah, there will be other mounts.

They are not extinct, ive seen an interview, they said : sleeping

As for shapesifting, we do have even now some shapesifting...! Shapesifting is everywhere in the game, even some spells that the character use, they have some shapesift effect.

There is nothing that can be a Flying Mount in Elder Scrolls....

Dragons are down to Single Figures in terms of how many left on Nirn so having them as mounts breaks the whole Dragonguard going on a Wipe out every dragon on sight.

Cliff Racers are too Small and have to be annoying for people to remember what they were like in the Third Era.

Potions in Elder Scrolls can use Magic so I'm going with an Illusion type potion was crafted by alchemy.

Voted NO! for now.. I want my money to be spent developing real issues right now..

Forget the fluff, you will get that in the store later obviously.. The ESO Fluff store... Come one come all, are game is broken but we have all the fluff you could want!

This is what I would like to avoid at all costs for once in a MMO..

Yup. Tamriel isn't silly 'high fantasy' (not that there's anything wrong with that). Seeing a gaggle of people all sitting around showing off on their uber large and uber rare mounts would be even more annoying than it is in games like WoW.

We must never comply with the idea, that we pay zenimax to fix issues. There should be no issues by default... They are obliged to fix them either ways.

In the other hand, when the early access begins 30/3? Its 21.

From what I can tell, none of the animals listed are actually used as mounts in the Elder Scrolls, accept the silt strider, which isn't exactly practical...

I think the main question is the Guar used like a Donkey or a Horse?

Yeah, more like a donkey...

"The guar is the dominant domesticated herd animal of Morrowind, useful as a pack animal."

The Senche-Tiger is used as a mount by the Khajiit.

The books "Poison Song" mention that the Dunmer ride Guars.

Nope... just horses. Flying, definately not.

*edit* I could compromise with mounts that are shown to be used in other area's of Elder Scrolls lore.

Nothing flying and nothing gaudy and nonlorefriendly. We don't need my little pony, elder scrolls edition.

I remember them stating quite clearly that there will be no crazy flaming winged horses in ESO. I would like to see Guar's , although I don't think they actually ride them in Morrowind, they just use them as pack animals. Camels would be great for any of the desert areas.

Just horses are really dull and boring,I see no reason to add lore friendly mounts at least. The community will just be bored with Horses. They shouldnt add something extreme,But well.. Those mounts which exists in the lore,Which are in the game but doesnt allow people to ride them
