More murder mystery quests in Skyrim!

I'd like to see one of these again. But maybe give the player less journal info and force them to fit points together themselves without help, and then if they fail on their first attempt at getting it right, they will fail the quest somehow, so you can't just go and accuse everyone like in the Oblivion one.

Too much L.A. Noire in my Skyrim.

The only murder mystery quest I'd like to see make a return is something similar to that one DB quest where you had to murder everyone in that mansion

"Whodunit?" was the best quest ever!!

Best things to do are lure the old woman into the basemant, and if you leave the Redguard, soldier-type last he will try to chop down the door with a battle axe. :P

L.A. Noire invented murder mysterious? I thought that was Edgar Allen Poe.

Oh GOD please don't start another Forum phrase repetition.... Noire has only just come out :lmao:

There were murder mysteries in Morrowind and Oblivion, Skyrim should have as well

Okay, just to make it clear, I didn't even know it was out, and I have no interest in it and know very little about it. My inspiration is Sherlock Holmes, best of the best. Murder mysteries rock regardless of what game has come out recently.

Yeah that could be a lot of fun. It should have a real dark and gritty atmosphere to it though.
People with the "No this is not *********" posts... Are you for real?

Oh, and doesn't have to be murder mysteries either, other types could be good. I've actually got an idea for one I might use in a village mod I'm trying to make for Oblivion.

No, but it's current release may inspire lots of "Hey, there's this AWESOME game with ! It should totally be in Skyrim!" threads.

Like the Fable3 and Witcher2 inspired threads we've been slogging through over the past couple months.

I dont think Skyrim needs any murder mystery quests, the few that Oblivion had were not very well done to begin with.

The mystery of the murder of Ralen Hlaalo (everybody's favorite perma-corpse) in Morrowind was a decent quest, because you actually talked to people and gleaned information to solve it, though it wasn't that much of a challenge unless you happened to wander off down the blind alley toward the Argonian (forget his name). I thought the runaway slave mystery in Suran was better constructed myself. And yeah - I'd like to see more quests like that - just more problem solving in general.

On that note though - Canvas the Castle, in Oblivion, was one of the worst written quests I've ever seen and I'd rather see no mysteries at all than another that bad.

I liked playing up the Personality options and making them kill each other...

I also played the normal way by doing the whole stealth/serial killer solution.

"Whodunit?" made me smile for days. lol
