More Nerevarine?

Rumors that the Nerevarine traveled to Akavir. Will this play a role in Skyrim?

I hope so!

If the dragons are related to Akavir, maybe. Other than that, no.

Akavir is quite far away from Skyrim, we already had the nerevarine in Morrowind as well.

I think hearing about the Nerevarine is as far as it will go. After such a long time he/she might be dead. And Nerevar 2.0 could have been any race and either gender. Unless he/she showed up as an androgynous armored warrior or blurry spirit, people would be unhappy.

We might hear of some things, but remember - since the Nerevarine's whole self changed depending on what person played Morrowind, it's super unlikely we'll see him. But maybe we'll hear some things or a "you just missed it! The Nerevarine juggled bottles, spit fire, and chewed a Dremora's head off all at once!" thing.

Well my character is still the Nerevarine, and he's going to be going to Skyrim, so in that sense yes, he will be.

The Nerevarine only went to Akavir if you want him to.

A quest oder something related to him / her would be pretty cool.
But, I don't think that we'll see the return of the Nerevarine for real...

So they would be if (s)he was canonized as certain race and six. Although he might not be dead; age has no effect on him/her, remember? (That's why he makes a perfect Telvanni sorcerer btw! :D)

With rumors of Nerevarine going there, there might as well be a cult evolved around him/her, even if (s)he wasn't around anymore. Or, possibly House Indoril again? Either way, Nerevarine could be a topic in various quests. Or just a mention in latest rumors or something. I'd like it. Seeing Nerevarine in person would be a letdown though. :D

I don't think we'd end up hearing anything more than the occasional rumor or such; and I'd prefer it that way, since I'll be carrying over my character from Morrowind anyway.

Never.
Bethesda would never give any indication of who the Neravarine was.

Hey, nice idea!
The cultist dunmer that fled from morrowind (after the argonian invasion), could believe that one day the nerevarine will return from akavir and kick their enemys asses to oblivion ... .

It's not that they won't tell you who the Nerevarine was, it's that they assume you're smart enough to know who you're own character is.

Well, we really don't know if they're assuming something like that ... :)

I did forget that age had no effect, though I was thinking more like death by Tosh Raka (or something Akavir..ian...ish). If Akavir is involved in the MQ, I would think that Nerevar the Second would have some effect on the events. Big heroes tend to do big things.

I'd love to hear rumor of his/her journey, but not meet him. Why? I love the mystery.

A far away, ghostly voice: "You are the Nerevarine. We are all the Nerevarine".

Of course we do, unless we're not making the assumption ourselves that we're not idiots.
