No more new Elder Scrolls?

Is Elder Scrolls online the end? Are they going to still make single player games not online?

There will be TES VI. Teso is made by different studio for different genre.

But it will probably be after fallout IV

Yes. Bethesda has said they will still make single player ES games.

You do not simply kill the cow you're milking ( Half Life 3 being the exception).

All indications seem to be there will be a ES 6.

I know for example, there does not seem to be any more Knights of the Old republic games after SWTOR, but then it looked like they had stalled them long before then. So not exactly a measuring stick. More likelihood of ES6 than KOTOR 3, put it that way.

Both are departments of Zenimax. But, saying that ZOS stands for Zenimax Online Studios, so easy to get muddled up.

Then you are wrong about Bethesda is under ZOS then because they are not. They are more like 'sister company'.

I realize they are more like a sister company but ZOS technically owns them, google it.

You're confusing Zenimax media inc. with zenimax online studios.

I've heard they are working on a ES 6. Give it another year or two.

I'm not confusing anything, ZOS being a different department of Zenimax media inc. is also included in the owning of a totally different company.

Not arguing semantics, just trying to re-assure someone who was worried about TES

Why on earth would they stop making cash cows like single player Elder Scrolls games?

It would be nonsensical to do so. (I hope the next one will take place in the Black Marsh)

They won't. That's probably part of the reason that ESO is set in the past. The two studios don't have to worry about stepping on each other's toes that way.

I think they will. Bethesda is a sister company to ZOS and the single player games are very successful and cater to a very different market.

Many ES fans are passing on ESO because they feel that it is not an ES game, but an ES themed MMO. They will make another single player game and it will be successful.

Skyrim made Vladimir Putin/Sochi corruption levels of money. Scrooge McDuck money. Would be silly to kill the cow.

To be more clear: Zenimax Media Inc owns Zenimax Online Studio, Bethesda Game Studio and Bethesda Softworks. (Besides a few other "small" companies)
