I've been trying to beat this challenge, I've used a brand new character and my level 20. No luck, my Bots do nothing They don't even distract the enemy team, since they shoot my first. I'm having no luck with this. Can the Devs even beat this challenge?

the key is using new character and your new weapons. Honestly it's still hard and frustrating though.

my character is level 0, my bots do nothing and the enemies spawn right on top of everything, didn't the Devs test this, because i highly doubt that they can beat it

It's beatable. The funny thing is once you've completed it and there is no longer any pressure (unlocks), it isn't all that hard to do.

Once you get to the operative objective, you need to take it kind of slow. Take cover behind some boxes and take out a few waves of enemies before hacking. By doing this you are giving your teammates a chance to gather around so that when you hack there is someone watching your back. After you hack the box, your teammates will still be in position (hopefully) to cover you while you grab the briefcase. The faster you get it out of there, the greater your chance of success because the enemy wont be able to lock down the final point.

It may seem impossible with any character, but you have a lot more options as a level 20, so you would be better off using one. Using a level 0 doesn't give you the [censored] AI that you get when you first started because you already have a level 20 on record and the game knows you have stuff unlocked across the board.

LOL. Try taking the Hacking objective when you're level 20 and solo. It's a LOL happy fun time. :wink_smile:

I've done it a bunch of times with characters from 1 to 20 of various types (although Ops make it a little easier). I find the 2 star to be harder than the 3 star because of the hack objective, but the repair can be a pain on the 3 star.

I recommend taking a medium with an AR with GL undermount and an SMG secondary. Having Sticky Bomb and Caltrops is very helpful for slowing the enemy down. If you can't get the Charge on the first try (I like to toss a grenade, have your SMG equipped, to slow them down) you might want to retry the mission as you'll lose some time there. Repair takes some effort, but it's best to not waste time planting mines or turrets most of the time. Once you have the hack box on the main thing is to keep tabs on their engineer and their medic and you should be okay. From there it's just a matter of running for the case and then to the final objective.

I beat 2 Star by at lvl 12 or so using a Heavy and nade spamming with EGL and Grenade Attachment on one of the AR (forgot with one)

Basically just grenade spammed groups of enemies and got lucky enough to kill enough at once to clear some space for the hacks/repairs.

You basically have to get lucky with AI forgetting to try to kill you, your teammates are completely useless.

I didn't find it too bad. Just take it relatively slow, and keep moving. When you're up on the catwalks make sure you clear out any enemies up there rather than running past them, and when you're hacking be ready to switch to your weapon to deal with anyone who gets too close.

Ive done it at level 18 and at level 10 (new char)
its all a matter of trickery
Kill all the bots quickly (medics first!) and then when your hacking put one of the pylons between you and the bots
they wont hit you much or at all, and will slowly move towards you

if you have any aim at all you can kill them before they get to close, and then resume hacking

It is not impossible, i have done them various times. Key is NOT to take it slow as others said, (my point of view).
Take a light soldier, run out to the left when facing objective, run straight to it and plant. If you do that you will have planted before the Security bots arrive.
After planting rush back a few meters and take cover behind the crates, do NOT leave cover to shoot at security NPCs somewhere further away, only make sure that the explosive is not unarmed.

After that change class and run to the next objective, if you die just run up there again, only kill the npcs that have line of sight with your objective, if an npc comes close, interrupt, shoot them and keep going at objective again.
If out of ammo just head to the command post, chose the same class you already have to not waste time clicking and voila, full ammo again.

The difficult part is the hack objective on 2 star. Easiest way if you have decent aim: Take a pistol with scope and a SMG. Only take SMG close up, otherwise headshot with Pistol. Take out the NPC surrounding the objective once, then rush to it, plant the hack device and as soon as it is on, run around to the other side where the command post is. Run around it to face the hack device. You will now see it, so you can react if npc engineers come but you will also be able to take cover. Most times your friendly npcs will engage whatever comes close.

If you have to shoot, then kill all npcs close to hackbox again, run around the command post, rinse and repeat as needed.

If you take your time and dont take chances you will never complete it as you will just be constantly swarmed. Light body type for speed and use of smart to get to objectives faster is extremely valuable here.

I found this extremely tough on low levels and impossible on level 20 but I read some advice about starting a new character and using shotgun as a primary weapon. Tried it and did all 1, 2 star levels first time and the 3 star level after about 2-3 attempts. Try it, the shotgun made a big difference.
