1. Rush the door right out of the gate and plant the HE charge RIGHT AWAY

2. Drop back half way from the distance of the door and the spawn

3. Camp the HE charge until it blows

4. Clear a path and switch to Engineer FAST

5. Get out of the room

6. Run to the outside edges of the map

7. Locate the Generator

8. Clear a parth to said Generator

9. Get up to the Gengerator

10. Fight off the next wave of attackers

11. Repair until another wave comes or if you can finish it before they come back

12. Run back and switch to Operative

13. Instead of going up the closest stair case fight off any eniemes and get up with the other stairs.

14. Get to the hack box and kill any threats.

15. Start the hack

16. you should be able to finish it before another wave comes but just watch your back in case

17. Jump down and grab the intel

18. Repeat steps 13-15

19. Congrats enjoy your bulpdaun its GREAT :D

Thanks.
I will do my best! (My teammates are pathetic sometimes, though, lol!)

Yup, this is 100% my problem. I CANNOT kill every one in time. The enemy focuses on me, and my allies are incapable of killing them.

I said screw it, and went Heavy with a the Maximus MG and Lobster GL. Since your teammates can't do much except provide a distraction, it's not bad being able to mow them down. However, when I need to repair the generator and return the intel, I made sure to have a turret set up watching over the position. Also, when hacking, I went around the box and hid behind it, leaning to the right. If you're lucky, no one will come by.

I plan on making guide videos, but my general strategy when doing the 2* Be More Objective was

1) The moment you spawn sprint to the Charge spot and plant, then back up and cover it w/ Assassult Rifle

2) I plant a mine at the stairs enemies use and crouch while repairing, it seems the bots have trouble shooting crouched players

3) Hacking one can be really annoying, I suggest throwing a grenade to clear the point, planting the box then walking around the structure to stay alive, only popping out when an enemy approaches the hack box

4) I can't exactly remember my path, but I believe I jumped on top of the boxes outside where the intel is, jumped-mantles to the walkway, ran up the stairs and made a mad dash for the objective

On a side note: Remember to go for the head, the art style makes heads really easy to hit on the bots, as they normally just walk around, I suggest one of the more accurate assault rifles

Hope this helped :D

The challenge is actually a test to see if you're able to be an efficient killer and capper.

Time your kills and plan ahead. This isn't CoD. You need to prepare yourself and be a strong independent capper. Spam your nades and find an opening. I do sound vague but that quick thinking is what separates a smart player from a rambo.

Also, it's ok to cap only 5%. It's better than to have died miserably since it's cumulative and you can't unhack it compared to the operative >_<

mfw you do need to plan ahead in CoD to stay on top

I didn't know you could switch up your character for these challenges; I thought you were given a generic one. I finished the one and two star challenges before I played any of the campaign or MP and was worried that I'd have these foolish AI folks on my team in MP when real players didn't join. Luckily, they are a bit more useful and sometimes the enemy AI poses bigger hurdles than human players. (Mediocre ones at least).

With that said, why make your back-up so stupid in these challenges and the campaign? Supposedly, its aim is to make you feel more like the hero but it only makes me a frustrated one. And if they want you to feel important, how about including your character in a cut-scene or two as more than an observer?

I hate to sound negative with my first post, I really do enjoy this game. Quite a lot honestly. Since I play MP mainly, I'm not really affected by the AI beyond a playthrough. But I won't try this on Hard mode without four friends.

As for the lag, I've seen much worse and it'll get fixed. It's only day two. Bethesda has a reputation to maintain with Skyrim dropping before the holidays and, even though they didn't actually make the game, they'll make sure fixes are made. Besides, Splash Damage seems proud of their work and likely want to fix it as much as we want it done.

Homefront demanded patience as well after its release and, after playing both games, Homefront is nowhere near as promising as Brink. This game will only get better as it's patched, people learn the classes, and those seeking the flavor of the month move on.

I got it first try by climbing up the side of the hacking platform, where I had to kill 2 guys. Then just ran to the console, and hacked it. To grab the data packet I climbed up the outside of the crates that it was in, dropped down from above. Grabbed the packet, and skirted the outside of the map back to where I had to turn it in.

Hope that can help. /cheers

Rush them. The AI will be confused and you can rush in plant the bomb, change class, & repair the generator.

Just a quick tip.

The challenges gain difficulty as you rank up because the bots are always your rank therefore they gain perks. If you've already ranked up start a new character and complete the harder ones. not only will you still have your guns and attachments, but they won't have all the upgraded perks.

The second problem is the challenges are different between multiplayer and single player. The first challenge is meant to be done alone, to get you the hang of doing objectives. I imagine the Devs don't want you're friends to run you through the harder ones and to earn it yourself.

You gotta keep trying. I've done all the challenges up to 3 star and they went smoothly. The AI changes every time you do it, so it's somewhat based on luck when you do the challenges. Then again I had the same problem and I still did it....so I guess I'm just a bamf! :celebration:

Yea I've been having a lot of problems with this as well, solo. Completed it several times in multiplayer, but that doesn't seem to count.

Planting the bomb and repairing as an engi is easy. Finish both without dying each time. But then I have to hack the panel, and find 8 guns magically shoved straight up my back side, while the rest of my team struggles with walking and breathing at the same time.

This challenge is BS. My teammates don't do crap and the whole other team just camps the thing i need to hack.

It really is FRUSTRATING.

Fixed and agree on both counts. Have I emphasized that this challenge is crap?

I hate this one with a passion and am stuck on it as well, except I can't even get near the generator without being turned into bullet cheese. :(

Friendly AI might as well not be there.

I can get to the Operative objective with some difficulty, but then... See below.

I can finish everything except the hack and the other team slaughters me, even if i kill four or five of them it makes no difference, i can't even initiate the hack and run away because i'm dead before it's done, my team is NO help and i've tried it with all the body types, the operative part KILLS ME URGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This.

Yup, this is 100% my problem. I CANNOT kill every one in time. The enemy focuses on me, and my allies are incapable of killing them.

If the friendly bots were competent at covering the player, and the enemy AI actually reacted to getting shot by either the allied bots or the player, MAYBE this challenge would be easier.

Also, if I just started a character and worked on this challenge's 1 star difficulty, how the hell does the enemy team have Heavies?

What really drives me friggin nuts (besides everything ya'll already said) is the enemy's durability. Even with buffed health and damage I cant drop em in 1-2 mags let alone the 3-4 shots they drop me in. Oh and the enemy nade spamming is really pissing me off in this game. I dont understand why Splash Damage created such a completely broken AI system AND that Bethesda approved it for shipping. They should balance the teams and AI and this game will rock. Untill then its another $60 lump o crap ala Homefront.

I found Be More Objective 2* to be fairly simple once I ironed out an OPENGL Disconnect and reoccurring crash. I killed all the opponents, then completed the objectives before they respawned. You can sprint and plant the first charge unmolested, but don't run up to a following point with a bunch of people on it. Remember to headshot--easy way to 2 or 3 shot kill even heavies. In many cases you can go around the giant clump of enemies, but they're incredibly stupid and have bad aim so even going head on against them is pretty safe.

I HATE that one. thats accualy why im on here now and not playing. i cant get the damn hack. scratch that. i get it to 98 %, then my allis all die at once and no matter where i am, i die. It's rediculous and as i stated in another thread, i want to punch the maker of that one in the mouth. really hard. I love this game. i really do. but a heavy shouldnt get killed in 1 SMG shot from an AI after JUST turning the corner. It's insane.

I'm happy this challenge is difficult.

The other challenges were way too easy, I can't wait to finally beat this.

I just finished this a minute ago.

What you need to do is complete the first two objectives as fast as you possibly can, and remember that the generator and hack objectives don't have to have their meters filled in one sitting. Planting and defending the first bomb shouldn't be hard as long as you go fast and beat the other team there. When repairing the generator, run up and start repairing as fast as you can, and strafe left and right while doing so. Take as many hits as possible before leaving the generator and defending yourself. Once the coast is relatively clear, start repairing again. Eventually you'll get it. As for the hack box, take the same approach as the generator, just defend yourself more often, since there will most likely be more enemies there. If you completed the first two objectives fast enough, you should have plenty of time, and again, you'll get it eventually. The last objective shouldn't be too hard. Just grab the thing and run for it. The AI doesn't do a very good job at chasing you down.

I used a light body type for all this. Not sure if a different one would be better.

After failing ** a while, I figured out you could hack from a distance (standing there = death). Haven't tried again, already wasted enough time for the first day. It was already obvious the AI on your side is just about useless and the enemy AI is too smart, which must mean this is for YOU to practice. They just made it far too difficult to pick up on at first. Unbalanced etc and so on. So I'm thinking that these things really need higher level characters past * so you've got weapons and skills better than you start with.

Which makes the * levels for learning and the ** and *** for getting better, I suppose. Maybe they did get it right, but it would be nice to be told that ahead of time yes?

I just did it... Christ sake it was by the skin of my teeth. I started up a lvl 1 character, and, lo and behold, your allies are suppressing the enemy, the enemy isnt just single targeting me. So i think yoru level DOES change the AI.

If your having an issue, make a level one, and give it a shot. Some one else tell me if they notice a difference, and copious amounts of alcohol wasnt the solution.

I finally completed it! In my game, when it came to the hacking objective I kept getting creamed because the AI just clustered around the hacking terminal, and I couldn't take on that many enemies. I found the trick to be using a grenade launcher, sprinting in and planting the hack box, and hiding. Then if they try to remove it, kill them even if it means sacrificing yourself, then respawn and hope to god they don't remove the box before you get there.
