since we know skyrim will use havoc, do you think this will be how snow works in how it affects player speed and how it moves?
seriously i've been really impressed with the new havoc stuff thats coming out so it makes me hopeful for skyrim.

I would hope so that looked awesome. Be cool casting and AOE spell and have snow be blasted in all directions and onto surround objects.

Off topic: is it just me or is the guy that he is controlling look like the basic enemies from psi ops?

Woh, woh, woh. We know it will have Havok Behavior which is basically for designing animations, but where did they state it will use Havok physics? Not saying it won't, just haven't seen that yet.

Personally I hate Havok. I hope they seriously improve the physics engine. Having the ability to place things without them going flying across the room when you accidentally walk within 5 miles of them would be nice.

Oblivion used an extremely early version of Havok. It's way better now.

Actually development began in 2007 and the engine was probably final in 2009.

nah havoc actually improved a lot.
but i see where you're coming from. in terms of ragdoll physics i do prefer the euphoria physics engine.

(joke) Few more years down the road, I expect characters to slip or trip, especially with so many stuff on the floor.

That was awesome!

We know Bethesda is using the latest Havok, they upgraded it from Fo3 to FNV as well, so I don't see why some of this advanced physics Wouldn't be in the game by default of using the latest Havok. I don't think this has anything to do however with slowing the character down in the snow - that's a base-engine thing determined by which type of ground your walking in and probably half a dozen other factors (including armor weight, your health, etc). The Havok physics working on objects in the world however, THAT is what we're seeing in this video and I hope we get some of that magic in Skyrim!!

Thanks for posting the link :)
