More questions

I have a few questions. I just beat Fallout. (I literally just finished watching the credits. I like how it told me to have a nice day.)

Is Richard Grey the Master? His audio log seems like it.

Most importantly, how come Ron Perlman said that the mutants went and razed Shady Sands? I thought I killed the source!

But MOST importantly: MY GUY SHOT THE OVERSEER! I was shocked! What the heck for? I know I had to leave, but I was going to do so peacefully. I liked that guy! WHYYYYY?!!! Why did I get what I assume is the bad ending? I did so much good! I was like, 'jesus of the wastes' or something!

EDIT: AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! I just read on the wiki that that ending happens with bloody mess! WHY DID I TAKE IT?! AHHHH! I wish I could pretend that didn't happen. I should have used the morph trait perk. DAMNIT!

Yes, he was.

Sometimes mutants raze Shady Sands if you don't go there until way late in the game. It's inconsistent, as it seems like it should only happen if you never go there. Supposedly they destroy it before you destroy them. Except you can go there just before the end of the game and i'ts fine, destroy the mutants, then it's razed.

The overseer is a jerk, he needed some high velocity lead.

He seemed pretty nice to me.

Anyway, I'm starting FO2 now, can't wait.

Thanks for the consistent help, follaut.

Well... think about the Overseer for a moment.

"Yeah, thanks for saving Vault 13 and all... but I'm exiling you into the hellish place away from the paradise you grew up in 'cuz I'm afraid the other vault dwellers will get ideas and leave the Vault. And we can't have that."

That's pretty much what he did at the end.

Yeah, when I thought about it and read the Fo2 manual and the dwellers memoirs I realized he was kinda lame.

But...he was right. I have changed. I'm a ruthless, violent person who doesen't deserve paradise. *whips out a cigarette* and so I'm doomed to the wastes forever.

*walks away*

anyway, I'm in the Temple of Trials now in FO2, and I'm gonna go play some more now.

I always waste the Overseer at the end. His death scene is worth it (and I don't usually go for that sort of thing).
