More random things I'd like to see in Skyrim

Post » Mon Dec 20, 2010 1:41 pm

I would love to see a hardcoe mode like the one featured in New Vegas. I really enjoyed the need to sleep, eat, drink, etc. This feature added a sense of realism to the game. I couldn't just go forever, I needed to actually take care of myself.

When your character enters an inn, I want to see merriment. I want songs being sung, and people talking and drinking and smoking.

That leads me to my next desire: I want smoking back. I want to lite up a pipe bowl and relax by a brook, or on a grassy hill, or outside my house, or in an inn with fellow pipe smokers. I also want to be able to blow smoke rings, and maybe make ships or other designs out of the smoke, or...dragons (eh, how 'bout that, play off the games theme huh?).

There are many other things that randomly come to mind that I can't remember right now. As i think of them i will add to this topic, but please add your thoughts. After all, the writers read these forums and could take our ideas to heart. And please either add your own ideas or at least leave a quick comment saying you liked the ideas already given. I'd like to see this topic go somewhere.

I think I can sum up the main idea of your post as, you want a much more convincing, living, believable world, one that seems like each NPC is living a life, not standing around waiting for you to play the game already. Fortunantly, with the limited information we've heard, it appears Bethesda is also wanting a living, believable world, and is taking steps to make it that way.

As for hardcoe mode, its being disused throughout the forums now.

Oh yeah good idea. It should definitely restore fatigue and maybe strength.
