More realistic shopping experience anyone?

Who would like to see a shopping experience where you actually had to pick something off the shelf and bring it to the shopkeeper to buy it? Of course there would still be things you could only buy over the counter. You would even be able to smuggle small objects out in your clothing.

I don't see how this adds to the experience.

And some nagging [censored] hanging off you instructing you about what to buy rivalling the adoring fan in annoyance!!! Ohwait. That might not be so much fun after all... maybe too much realism...

I hate this idea so, SO much. Haha. I will pick from a list of items in a menu, and it will be quick and easy, and I won't have to bother with wonky grab controls. I don't see what this adds to the game. There's such a thing as too much realism.

Grab Controls?

Ok nothing about how things are grabbed would be changed, You know how in the stores they have random items sitting on the shelves? You put your cross hair on an item you want, you pick it up, it would go in your inventory with an unpaid marking but it would not be registered as stealing until you left the shop without paying. you then go up to the shopkeep and pay him what you owe him. I think you guys are just considering the horrible way that Fable did it and not the possible way that Skyrim could do it.

Just 5 words:

"Stop right there, criminal scum!!"

Yeah, sooooo not happening.

They should remove the "grabbing things counts as stealing" rule so that roleplayers could do it that way. Other than that I see no point, it just adds hassle to buying stuff.
